We caught several Bull Redfish. The experience was awesome. Redfish and trout all morning long. Captain Jay kept us busy catching on a day everyone said would not be a good day to fish. We will definitely fish with Captain Jay again. Captain Jay is a fun captain to fish with.

Very impressed with Captain Jay even before we met him! He called us the day prior concerned about the windy conditions and the trip we signed up for...offered to change locations for a being out of the wind or that we could cancel and get a full refund. We took him up on the change in location and had a great time! He's genuinely concerned about his customers being on good fish and having a good time. He did great with our teenage boys...very patient and good conversation and gave them advice on fishing off the docks in the area. We highly recommend him and will definitely look him up if we come down again!

We had an awesome time with Captain Jay! He went above and beyond to put us on the fish and it definitely paid off—we caught redfish, speckled trout, and even a red snapper. We had a great time fishing with Capt. Jay. We hooked on a big Jack Crevalle with really light tackle and with Capt. Jay’s help and boat maneuvering skills we managed to get him in the boat. The bite was slow on edible fish(only got two) but we all caught something. We had to cut it short due to a storm but still had fun.

Great fishing trip. We had 3 adults and 1 ten year old. Captain Jay put us right on some spotted trout. All over 3 lbs and one 5.5 pounder! Enough for a dinner for 8 and have leftovers. One of us caught a 19 lb red fish and has since been saddled with the nickname Johnny Red! Can’t wait to do it again next year.

If you're looking for great company from a captain who's gonna work his tail off to put you on fish, this is the guy! Captain Jay literally ran us all over the bay until we found fish... and when we did, we hammered 'em! I'm an experienced fisherman, but my 3 partners were not. Captain Jay was patient with my inexperienced friends but not condescending to me. It was w a fabulous charter and one of the best I've ever been on. Great job Captain Jay!!@

We had a wonderful half day fishing with Captain Jay of Dauphin Island Inshore Charters. We left the dock with ample bait, and we were ready to catch some fish, which we promptly did. The weather was good with a nice breeze to keep us comfortable. We originally released our catches of Speckled trout, Redfish, Crevalle Jack, Black Drum, some Lady Fish, and a few Catfish. Later, as we began to get hungry, we decided to keep a few of the fish after all. We ended up keeping some Speckled Trout, a Flounder along with a good-sized 8 pound Tripletail we caught at the end of our fishing adventure. Captain Jay kept us on the fish and moved to different areas when the fishing slowed down or became unproductive. Captain Jay expertly filleted the fish we kept and later demonstrated the perfect way to cook them. We thoroughly enjoyed our fishing trip and the wonderful meal. Captain Jay was always attentive, personable, friendly, and professional. It was a joy to ride in his beautiful boat and have him as our Captain. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a wonderful fishing experience at Dauphin Island. Sam Schlachter
