Omg! I booked captain john for my son’s birthday! 5 twelve year old boys! Capt. gave the option to catch sharks and fish and I’ll let you guess which one they chose! We caught 8 sharks total! The experience was the best from beginning to end! Capt. was down to earth and totally chill! Thank you so much for creating core memories for my son and friends! They now want to make this a yearly tradition!

We booked a trip with Capt. Jonathan for sea bass for my 11 year olds first ocean fishing trip. The water was rough to go out for them so he suggested to go out for black drum. My nephew caught his first fish and it was a sizeable one. Jonathans a great guide that makes the trip enjoyable and Id highly recommend going with him. We are already planning our next trip to go out again!

Today we booked our 2nd trip with JP Charters, and were not disappointed! We started with trolling and caught dozens of Bluefish. At times it felt like we could barely reel them in before we hooked another. Then we tried bottom-fishing, and caught a few sea bass and fluke. One was big enough for our dinner tonight! Great trip overall, highly recommend!

Captain Jon was amazing. Got to the dock and he gave us the rundown on the weather and conditions. Shifted to fishing bayside and hooked with 10 sharks! one heck of a morning for iffy weather.

it was a good start to a hopefully lasting relationship with captain Jon. my wife loved it, the kids loved it, and i loved seeing them love it.

We had an absolutely incredible fishing trip with Captain Jonathan that our family will never forget! From the moment we arrived at the dock, everything was seamless. He was ready 10 minutes early, fully prepared with life jackets as we had requested, and greeted us with a warm, professional demeanor. During the trip, we caught 25 bluefish, and thanks to Captain Jonathan’s expertise in trolling, the action was nonstop. Although the lines got tangled a few times — which is bound to happen with excited kids onboard — he handled every moment with calm, patience, and zero frustration. He made the whole experience fun and stress-free for everyone. Captain Jonathan was especially kind and engaging with the kids. He let them put the fish in the basket, showed them how to ice the catch properly, and even taught them some fascinating facts about bluefish species. It was both educational and fun — a perfect family experience. After the 4-hour trip, he didn’t rush us off. Instead, he cleaned the fish with great skill, helped us pack and ice them properly, and made sure we were completely taken care of before we left. Captain Jonathan’s professionalism, knowledge, and kindness made this a five-star experience. If you’re looking for a family-friendly fishing adventure with a captain who goes above and beyond, look no further. We’ll definitely be booking with him again!

Captain John runs a top notch charter. If you are looking for a chill and low key experience this is your guy. Even though the fishing was slow for all the charters today, John kept positive and put us on some fish. Fishing is fishing and sometimes the fish go to hide. Even so, John was gracious and personable throughout. He worked with his other charter operators and we found some fish to bring home. His boat is clean and plenty of room for six. If you are looking for a Cape May charter, this is the one you should book!

We had a great time with John on his boat. He is very polite and courteous, and very quick to respond to messages and questions through the app. The boat was perfect for us, clean and in great shape with all the gear we needed. We opted to try for sharks, though it was slow at first due to the slack tide, John still had us in the right spot and as soon as the tides turned, the bites were on. The 2 boys had a blast reeling them in, as did I; it was a first for us all. We then went out to a channel light house and tried for some small fish, and it was fun. Overall, great afternoon trip for us, we look forward for next year, John states he will have his new boat up and running then. I would recommend this charter.

Had a great trip with JP Charters. His boat is immaculate, and his equipment works perfectly. Captain Jon is a great person to fish with, he knows the ocean and where to find fish! We caught lots of blues, tagged out on sea bass and even got to finish the trip off reeling in a nice big sand shark. Highly recommend JP Charters to anyone looking to go deep sea fishing! Hoping to come fish again soon!
