Horton's Fishing Adventures
Looking to cast a line in Allatoona? Horton's Fishing Adventures is your ticket! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Josh can tell you all about them.
Spotted Bass, Striped Bass, White Bass, Black Bream, and more inhabit these waters, depending on conditions.
On the day of your trip, you're likely to use light or heavy tackle.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks to keep up those energy levels!
You'll be welcome aboard either a 21' Ranger Bass boat with a 225 HP motor & room for 3 passengers. It has a all the essentials no fishing machine can run without and another 20 foot Pro Guide Ranger boat with a 175 Mercury!
Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Lunch is provided, just reach out to learn more, especially if you have any dietary needs.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Horton's Fishing Adventures.

Jim Stormony5.0VERIFICERETThe best lake trip we’ve ever had, lots of fish!
Morgen Sø Allatoona Special den July 27, 2026 • 2 voksneCaught plenty Bass, Crappie, and Catfish. Josh is a great guide, every stop provided abundant fish, great conversation, and epic coastline. He taught us a great deal about fishing for bass, in the past we’ve mostly caught trout, bluegill, and crappie, but this time the bass fishing was awesome. I highly recommend Josh to anyone that wants to have a great time with a great captain, great gear, and boat!

Lake Allatoon Full Day Special den July 12, 2025 • 3 voksneHad a great time out on the water during my fishing charter! While I didn’t catch as many fish as I hoped, the experience itself made up for it. Big shoutout to Captain Josh Horton —super knowledgeable, patient, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. Sometimes it’s not just about the catch—it’s about the company and the journey. 🎣🚤

Lake Allatoon Full Day Special den July 21, 2024 • 2 voksneHorton had us on fish straight away. Had some hits on top water and brought one to hand then had some solid action trolling. Really nice boat. Good equipment. Great experience overall. More than happy to recommend and will certainly book again in the future.

Lake Allatoon Full Day Special den October 25, 2025 • 3 voksneCaptain Josh Dad was great with his conversation and an awesome captain host but I caught only 1 fish and gave it to him afterwards for $350 fishing adventure, plus a deposit with a tip afterwards because he was SO KIND but I don't want to pay that much for any fishing trip with only 2 people in mh party to only catch and come back with just ONE/1 fish lol
