Playtime Sportfishing 

Capt Jimmy was great before and during our trip. He called the night before to ask what we wanted to target, gave us info on the day and asked if we had any questions. Day of, he met us on time with his 1st mate John. We had a quick safety overview and were off. 15 minutes and we were on the ocean with lines going out. Before all the lines were set we had 2 fish on! We trolled for about 2 hrs with less than a few minutes between fish. We caught 6 large Bonita and 4 nice Black fin Tuna. As we were going to switch to bottom fishing for snapper, we spotted a shark about 50 yards off the boat. Without missing a beat, capt Jimmy jumped down and setup a shark rig while mate John reeled in our trolling lines. 5 minutes later, we were hooked up on a 8+ ft hammerhead! After a 30 min fight, we had it boat side. Got some great pics and we released it. A few bottom drops wrapped up our trip with 2 snapper! We headed back in where the tuna and snapper were filleted up for us and they pointed us to a nearby restaurant that we went to and had our catch cooked up for a great meal! If you want a great trip with a capt and crew that know what they are doing, look no further! 10 out of 10 we will be back again!

My wife, our two boys, and I had an unforgettable day on the water. We landed a trophy Mahi along with several blackfin tuna, and the excitement on the kids’ faces made the whole trip worth it. The crew Jen and Jimmy were phenomenal from start to finish. They were patient, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience fun and stress‑free for all of us. Whether you’re brand new to fishing or have years of experience, I’d highly recommend this trip. It was truly amazing, and we’ll be talking about it for a long time.

Morning started out great Captain James accommodated my son and I by meeting us an hr early. Then he gave us the option to buy live bait or use spinners. We took him up on the live bait, money well spent. Then his mate went over safety of the boat. She was very helpful, friendly and drives the boat very well. We had very good luck my son caught a kingfish biggest fish he has ever caught due to captains experience and ability to know the area. After he pulled that it in I was lucky enough to pull in a 51” Barracuda which was the biggest fish I have ever caught. This was the best charter my son and I have ever been on. Nothing is guaranteed but we were blessed that day. Captain gave us the option to go for smaller fish and catch more but my son wanted to risk and try for another big one. We overall have had a great time and will deff be looking to rebook with Captain James when back in the area. TY Captain and First Mate. Highly recommend!!!

Had a great experience with capt.Jimmy and mate Christine. Fishing started off slow, which we were trolling at first. When we haven’t got any bites in the first hour or so Capt.Jimmy told Christine let’s use the live bait that they had left over the trip before. After dropping on 3 shipwrecks. All we manage was to have something cut one of our bait off. So we went back on the troll for the rest of the trip. We end up catching 8 black fin tunas. I could tell that when we weren’t catching anything it was frustrating to them for not catching anything. Which I get it from Fishing in the past. That’s why they call it fishing and not catching.

We had so much fun with Captain Jimmy and John! We went all over, caught 13 fish and almost landed a Sail Fish. They had lots of good ideas to find the fish and help us land them. The hunt and chase was the best part. And they gave the best recommendation of where to take them to cook them after! My whole family was so excited about the trip and will have great memories to share!

This charter was a grad gift for our daughter and our first time deep sea fishing. Captain Colton and First Mate Eric had us reeling in our first catch within 15 minutes of being out to sea. We caught Bonita, Blackfin Tuna, a Barracuda and two Muton Snappers! It was a great time and we cant wait to go out again.

Dom anf Seth were great! my first time out in some rough seas but definitely worth the time. the worked thier asses off! we caught 2 dolphinfish and Dom filleted them and sent us off to Southport were they cooked em up for us. the icing on the cake. thank you Atlantic, God, Dom and Seth!’

We started off slow and battled some rough waves. Capt James and first mate Kevin kept at it and put us on fish. Multiple double hook ups and even a triple header. We managed to catch our limit of black fin tuna, Bonita, and a barracuda!. We even hooked into something big that broke our swivel - most likely a wahoo. I can't say enough about Capt James and first mate Kevin. Their experience and professionalism turned this into a truly memorable day.

we had this deap sea fishing trip on our bucket list and so glad we booked with playtime sportfishing! my husband did catch some beautiful fish and the crew had filleted the fish for us! thank you guys!! Crew was very experienced and we appreciate yall.

It was my families first experience on a fishing charter. The seas were rough and the Captain was awesome, calling us the day before and giving us options for fishing areas. If we wanted to go out to sea, he suggested to prepare the night before and the day of with anti-motion sickness drugs if needed. We decided to go out to sea, and it was rough, but the family got used to it and we had fun rocking around the ocean and were rewarded with more blackfin tuna than we could eat and a catch and release Barracuda!
