Fly Legend Fishing 

I went out with captain Fabian in hopes of catching some fish on the fly. He and his crew worked hard all day to put me on fish. The boat was equipped with fly rods as well as light and heavy conventional gear for a wide selection of fishing techniques. Conditions weren’t ideal but they got it done! They had a cooler full of drinks, a delicious lunch and good tunes. I had the honor of being the first trip out on his new boat. There was plenty of room for 2 people casting on the bow. The tackled provided was good quality and the crew was professional and knew their stuff. They took plenty of pictures for me as well. If you’re looking for a good time fishing while you’re in quepos then look no further. I’ll be booking with them next time I’m in Costa Rica.

Capt Fabian did a great job! He worked hard to find the fish, going further out to where reports of tuna and Sails were following a pod of Dolphin. We ended up catching some tuna, and the overall experience was excellent. On the way in he cut up some for a snack and then steaked the rest for us to take for dinner. We saw hundreds of dolphin in a massive pod, with the tuna schooling around them. It was a spectacular sight. Then we saw a couple humpback whales, multiple sea turtles, etc. the ocean was teeming with life. Capt Fabian’s English was outstanding, and he had top notch Shimano gear and garmin electronics. His boat is super clean and he takes care of it. You can tell he enjoys fishing and wants to catch fish as bad as you do! We fished right next to several large sportfishers, and they were doing the same thing as us at 3x the cost!!! I have fished in CR out of the same Marina 6 times in the last 12 months. Big boats and small boats in shore and off shore. Will absolutely charter Fly Legend again. Recommend for 3 people to ensure everyone has room to fight the fish.

Fabian and Zachary were awesome!! they had tons of drinks for us! even though we had a slower day and only caught one tuna we had a great time and were able to spot all kinds of sea creatures. 10/10 service would highly reccomend booking with Fly Legend!!

Captain Fabien and his crew are excellent! They are very knowledgeable, and we were lucky enough to catch multiple yellowfin tuna. We highly recommend him as a captain, and if we ever get the chance to come back to Costa Rica, we would love to book with him again!

Fabian Rameriez made all the difference on this trip. He put us on bait, then he put us on amazing Rooster Fish and most importantly he was so enthusiastic and seemed genuinely excited to be leading us. Our friend caught the first fish she has ever caught, and it was a 50" plus Rooster Fish and I think Captain Faubian was more excited than she was if that is even possible. Excellent trip.

It’s not often you meet a captain that wants to be there as much as you do! Cpt. Fabian was knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely enjoyed being on the water. We had such a great time that we canceled other plans to rebook with him again 2 days later. I genuinely think this was one of the best charter trips I have ever been on. I am already planning our return trip to fish with him again!

From the moment we stepped on the boat, Fabian and Kenny treated us like friends. Amazingly knowledgeable and gracious. We caught so many fish, my arms hurt. When the fishing guy really hot, he even shared his success with fellow charters, showing true integrity (and helping other guides catch fish). Great boat, great crew, great captain. We’re coming back as soon as we can.

My son and I fished with Fabian on 3-17-26. The Captain and crew were excellent and we knocked Rooster Fish off our bucket list. We didnt catch a bunch of fish, but it was not from lack of effort. A great trip begins with a great guide and Fabian is a great guide! The fish were moving around a lot but Fabian was good at tracking them and let me stay out a little longer for the extra driving. Would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone looking for a great trip!

Fishing with Fabian was great! He is a great captian and true pleasure to talk to. He was very kind to my son and I. Fishing was slow at first but picked up some as the day went on and hooked a great roosterfish and a few other things.
