Tulúm Sport Fishing – Wahoo 

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Tulum Sportfishing, and I can't say enough good things about it! From the moment we stepped on board their boat, we knew we were in for an unforgettable adventure. To start, the fishing was beyond incredible. In just a few short hours on the water with Tulum Sportfishing, we managed to catch an astonishing 24 Dorado! It felt like the fish were practically leaping into our boat. The thrill of reeling them in one after another was simply exhilarating. What made the trip even more enjoyable were the thoughtful touches provided by Roger and the Tulum Sportfishing team. They had cold drinks and snacks readily available, keeping us refreshed and energized throughout the journey. The absolute highlight was the fresh ceviche they prepared on board – a delightful treat to savor while basking in the sun and eagerly anticipating the next big catch. The Tulum Sportfishing crew was not only courteous but also highly professional and hardworking. They took care of every detail, even capturing our best moments on camera, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the fishing experience. Their positive and friendly attitude added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. I also want to commend the pre-trip communication with Roger and the Tulum Sportfishing team, which was both prompt and professional, making the entire booking process a breeze. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a fishing trip with Tulum Sportfishing, Roger, and his exceptional crew. The nonstop action and the impressive number of Dorado we caught in such a short time left my wife and me in awe. The only "complaint," if you can even call it that, was that we didn't have a second fighting belt to fully savor all the double-ups we experienced. But honestly, that's a wonderful "problem" to have! This fishing experience, with Tulum Sportfishing, Roger, and his team, and a bit of suerte (luck), as they say, is one that will be etched in our memories for a lifetime. Roger with Tulum Sportfishing provided an awesome experience. We had two on the boat that had never done any sort of fishing like this and caught their first Mahi. They really went above and beyond working with us when the weather changed, and was able to get out on a larger boat on a different day. Roger and his crew worked hard to keep us on the bite. I’ve been on plenty of these trips where it’s just a boat ride/troll show. That was not this trip at all. They constantly worked the lines and bait, and it paid off with 13 in the box for a half day trip. Finished off with some of the best ceviche I’ve had, and some freshly grilled mahi tacos. Overall, it was a great trip out and would be tough to beat. Can’t recommend this outfit enough. Clean well maintained boats, hard working crew, and great attitude all around.

Amazing experience catching Mahi Mahi. 7 fish in 4 hours. First bite was the biggest, a 25+ pounder! Then some smaller ones. Then we doubled up and brought 2 in, one right after the other. Finished it off with a good one right before time was up. 🎣 The crew was great, the boat was clean and nice, and we caught fish. Can't ask for much more than that.

We had an absolute blast out on the Wahoo! Ivan was the best ambassador we could have asked for. He was right on time to take us to the boat, equipment was geared up, and we hit the water within a few minutes. Water, beers, and music on board made it a fun time. The crew was great and led us right to the fish - we caught a barracuda and a huge wahoo that the crew were pumped about. Fresh ceviche made from our catch right on the boat and we took some home with us to grill up after. If you are in the Tulum area, make sure you give Ivan and the crew at Tulum Sport Fishing a call —- we’ll be back!

Had a great time out on the water with the crew. Fishing was actually pretty tough but we kept switching techniques until we found what was working best which was bottom fishing with dead bait. Overall we landed 2 amber jack 2 snapper and 1 baracuda. We took a fillet from the snapper and had a local restaurant prepare it for my wife and I. Wow was it wonderful !!!! Just a great group of people at Tulum sport fishing friendly kind and courteous. I can't say enough good things about the day just make sure if you want to go out on the water make sure you do it with Tulum Sport Fishing!!!!!!

We were trolling for about 2.5 hours and caught a Bonito and a very nice King Mackerel. After switching to bottom fishing we caught loads of Trigger Fish. The crew was awesome, very easy communication with Roger before and after the trip. Overall a perfect experience! P.S.: Don’t forget to spend time for the Ceviche - best ever.

My son and I reserved a 3/4-day trip on the Wahoo. Despite the fact that the taxi driver brought us to the wrong place, Ivan came and got us and made it a perfect day. The Wahoo was in the shop for service, so they gave us a newer and bigger boat. Even in November the fishing was exciting. Captain Angel and mate Carlos took care of everything, and we had our first 'cuda boated only 20 minutes into the trip. Altogether we hooked 6 barracudas and 2 were over 4 feet long. Ivan came along and speaks perfect English and they kept us supplied with water and beer. At the end of the trip they brought us back to the dock and made the best ceviche from our freshest fish. We totally recommend this team and hope to use them again, perhaps in April or May when the Mahi are running.

Everything about this trip far exceeded our expectations, from booking, all the way to enjoying an amazing batch of fresh ceviche on-board when we were done...(and some ice cold tallboy Dos "X" :) The process of booking was seamless...the directions and instructions on what to bring and where to go were easy to follow and NEVER left you guessing about next steps...Ivan met us at the marina and was so kind and hospitable. He made my son feel right at home and he and my husband were fast friends straight away. Captain Bart was obviously a seasoned pro and he was also fantastic. We caught over 25 bonito, 2 barracuda and a HUGE Wahoo...we trolled the whole time but the guys are very flexible about changing it up if we had wanted to...I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone but especially if you are taking little ones...quite simply it was an incredible day...Ivan even sent pics of grilling the bonito the next day bc he and hubs were sharing their favorite recipes while we were fishing...LOL....thanks again you guys! -the DeClerks

Had a great day fishing with the amazing crew of Tulúm sport fishing, although it was tough fishing and a bit choppy in the morning, captain didn’t quit until we had a nice barracuda in the fish box, great crew and high end gear, would definitely book them again next time I’m in Cancun. Ohh and almost forgot, Capt. Bart and roger made killer ceviche from the fresh barracuda we caught that was just amazing. Over all 10/10
