Put us on the fish! And we swam, snorkeled, had a blast. Highly recommend 🙏👍
We had a great trip the captain was super nice friendly and made our trip. We are disappointed that so much of our catch that we had processed and frozen for us was not there when we came back to get it, we understand some of it is going to get spread out but 2/3 was gone! Then head guy best English speaker for sure nickel and dimed us when we wanted to pick It up, seemed like we had to make him get it out of the freezer for us. after spending over 2000 dollars with them in 3 days that totally made us go from loving it to feeling like he (and only he)took advantage of the gringos. Our boat lost the bait pump and our bait turned on us we worked hard to save it we never complained the least he could of done was buy a couple of beers. Captain and crew totally awesome wish I had his number for next time. Really it’s just the last guy we had contact with was trying to get everything he could out of us, not cool man! You ruined a great customer for a 12 pack.
Mesquito Fleet was EXCEPTIONAL! Blas our captain did a great job changing our spots and methods to put us on the fish. We caught a 38 lb Yellow Tail... A true fighter. We also caught a Mexican Tuna, Sea Bass, Rooster fish, + 1 more more I don't know the name of. We highly recommend the experience1 One last thing.... Blas and the other Mesquito Team spoke english which really made it easy... Thanks, Scott Skaletski Wisconsin, USA
My wife had booked a fishing trip online for her, myself and our 14 yr old son for my birthday. She ordered the ( 26 ft super Pangea ) a newer boat with a washroom aboard. Upon arriving we noticed the boat did not have a washroom on board and it was much older than the boat in the photos. After meeting with Richard ( the manager ) and stressing our concerns, he then told us the trip was going to cost another 160.00. ( for a few sandwiches and a Fishing licence) and stated if we have a problem with it that we should leave. Not wanting to ruin the day we paid the extra money. After getting out on the water and into the fishing area our captain made it very comfortable for us to fish, as he was very pushy and snappy when we would hook into a fish and try and grab the rods. We have all fished our entire lives so this made it very unenjoyable for us. That being said we called the trip short. In the end a 3 hr fishing trip costed 13000 peso. I would not recommend this company or Richards poor customer service to anyone.
Very friendly Captain (Frank), although experienced in only some dimensions of sportfishing. Limited bait supplies--spent two hours trying to catch live bait -- why aren't live bait suppliers using a broader set of strategies to catch live bait of various sizes (seining, cast nets, etc.)? Our bait was very large (more than a pound each--but quality mackerel). The large engine (115 HP) had a relatively fast troll speed at its lowest speed--the fleet really needs electric motors or other techniques to develop optimal and slower trolling speeds for live bait. Also no depth finder on the boat to find bait and fish. The worse part was the motor ran poorly the entire trip and "died" at least 30 times (not kidding!). We ultimately could not get back to port and a second panga had to come out and pick us up and tow the boat in. Besides all that we did land one nice rooster fish (only fish we hooked all day).

We had a fantastic time with Javier and enjoyed fishing near La Paz. Javier was constantly working to make our fishing trip successful and we caught three Mahi, right away. After a lull, we caught another Mahi. Truth be told, I had booked a large and strong Mahi who rewarded me by biting through the line and making his escape. We are discussing future fishing trip during different seasons to see what we can catch. We did ask the charter to provide lunch and do wish they had included cost of lunch and water when they sent the menu. It added up quickly.
I reserved a 26’ “super panga” for my wife and I. This was our third fishing trip to La Paz, together. For perspective, I’ve fished there 4 times previously with friends, at 2 other charters I kept trying to find a company and Captain that wasn’t just going through the motions. We’ve fished Cabo a few times, as well. Anyway, we couldn’t have been treated better. Our captain Javier, was engaged and very knowledgeable of the fishing areas. After 3 days of time on the beautiful blue/green water, you have a clue as to what makes another human tick. Javier is a fisherman. He is driven to hook every fish that strikes. Even better, He gets “it”. If something isn’t working, try something else. My father taught me, “the fish are always feeding”, it’s about where you are fishing and what and how you are presenting. Javier is after fish... he isn’t there to just give you a ride on the water. He produces. I have fished with dozens of charters in Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean over the past 35 years and I’ve gone on more than a few “boat rides”. Tish, my fishing partner and wife, was with me on almost all those trips. Javier made us laugh, gave us tips to help us be more successful at hooking and landing the different species and speaks near perfect English. If there are fish around, you will have fun! Rodrigo runs the office and like Javier, he has been with the owner of the Mosquito Fleet for over 2 decades. I’ve never encountered someone at a fishing charter who would do anything in his power to make your trip extra special. Upon arriving back at the dock, Rodrigo expedited our fish cleaning and asked what we wanted to do with our catch. All 3 days we asked that our fish, mostly Dorado, be packaged and frozen. He also arranged to have some filets of our fish be prepared into Ceviche as well as grilled with vegetables and mashed potatoes that we enjoyed at the Cortez Club, 50 feet from the dock. Their Ceviche preparation is the best I’ve ever eaten. Of course, it helps when the fish is 2 hours fresh! James, the very personable owner of the waterfront Cortez Club restaurant and bar and Mosquito Fishing Charter is worldly and “old” enough to understand what is important to those of us who love to fish. He knows he is fortunate to have a loving family and loyal crew who are the backbone of a service business. From the jumping Mantas and Humpbacks to the great food, drink and “moments in time” connecting to others, we had our best trip to Baha ever!
We were told by FishingBooker.com a certain price. It ended up being 30% more.

Javier knew what he was doing! We probably has 300 sardines to use as bait and we were successful in catching 4 Mahi mahi and a skipjack (we threw the skipjack back). Javier was fun and knowledgeable and taught me a lot how to fish, which was appreciated!! I can’t wait to fish again!
Great captain and fishing experience. Was a little pricey compared to other boats and then were expected to tip on top of the bill when it said included. Other than that the fish were biting and the day was great
