(4 Hour Trip — Bay Fishing PM)

    Worth every penny!!!

The trip was amazing from start to finish. Captain Al was so knowledgeable and his First Mate (Jax the dog) was adorable. We caught over 100 fish between the 4 of us and we all had different skill levels. We can’t wait to join Al and Jax again for another adventure.

Bonefish are the iconic flats game fish. Anglers love Bonefish fishing for the thrill of sight casting in shallow, clear water. These fast, wary fish crush a well-placed bait or fly and then blast off. Their first run is electric, and their speed and stamina test light tackle skills.

Most trips focus on inshore fishing across sandy or grassy flats, mangroves, and backcountry bays. Guides often pole shallow skiffs, or you may wade quietly. Fly fishing with small shrimp or crab patterns is a favorite. Spinning gear works too, using light leaders and small jigs or soft plastics. Live shrimp and small crabs are classic baits. Stealth matters, so long casts and gentle presentations are key.

Expect a technical, visual hunt. You will watch for tails, shadows, and subtle pushes in the water. Quick, accurate casts make the difference. This is great for anglers who enjoy stalking fish and learning precise skills. Bring polarized sunglasses to spot fish, sun protection, quick-dry clothing, and if wading, sturdy boots. Light tackle, plenty of backing, and a quiet approach help you land more fish. Practice careful handling for healthy releases.

Rules for Bonefish vary by location. Many places favor catch and release, but regulations change. Always check local fishing license and permit needs. Confirm season dates, harvest rules, gear restrictions, and area closures before your trip.
