    This guy is different!

I’ve been on a few fishing charters before, in both Miami and Toronto, but this guy is different. He’s very friendly, easy to talk to, and great to deal with. Unlike some of the guys in Miami who can be a bit rude and overly protective of their expensive equipment, he’s relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely wants you to have a great time. I really like this friendly guy, and I’ll definitely go fishing with him again next month or so. And yes, we caught a lot of fish!

    Really nice fishing trip

I booked a three hour fishing trip with Stefano for myself and my son (9 years). Stefano did an excellent job. He was very friendly and helpful. We caught plenty of fish, and Stefano even scaled and gutted them for us right on the boat. We had a truly great time and my son and i really enjoyed it.

    Great Ireland fishing experience!

Captain Niall is a great one! Truely passionate about fishing and conservation. He put us on the Pollock and we had a great time fishing with him. Lots of laughs and great stories. This trip will be one of our most treasured Ireland memories.

    Great fishing in Norway

Had a great afternoon with Captain Ozzy. He graciously let us start the trip once we got into port with our cruise, was very knowledgeable and personal, worked hard to ensure everyone caught fish and had plenty of snacks/water. Also great communication with him before the trip — very responsive. we caught 4 different types of fish on our trip and about 2 dozen in total — despite the weather being less than ideal. Would definitely book with him again should we ever return to Norway.

Gurnard fishing is all about action, character, and great table fare. Gurnard are bottom-dwelling Groundfish known for big wing-like fins and a funny croaking sound. Anglers target them for steady bites, simple tactics, and firm white fillets that cook beautifully.

You will usually catch Gurnard while bottom fishing in inshore or nearshore waters. Drift slowly over sandy or muddy bottoms and keep baits near the seafloor. Squid strips, shrimp, and small pieces of cut fish work well. Light spinning tackle makes the fight fun and helps you feel gentle pecks. Simple two-hook rigs or small jigs tipped with bait are proven producers.

Expect a relaxed, hands-on trip that suits first-timers and families. Bites can come in quick flurries, so stay ready and keep lines tidy. Gurnard strike close to the bottom, and the hit can be subtle before a solid bend. Bring sun protection, a hat, and non-slip shoes. A light jacket and drinking water help you stay comfortable. A small cooler is useful for fillets if cleaning is available and harvest is allowed.

Before you go, check local rules where you plan to fish. Confirm license or permit needs for each angler. Review current seasons, harvest allowances, and any size or gear restrictions. Regulations change often, and staying informed keeps your Gurnard fishing trip worry-free.
