Captain John has been fishing his whole life. He loves taking people fishing and giving them a memorable day on the water. Not only does he have decades of fishing experience, but he also holds two degrees – one in underwater technology and the other in sport diving education from the Florida Institute of Technology. Capt. John has been a diver for years and in 1988 he founded FUNYET Charters. Ever since, he's been taking numerous customers around the Keys helping them explore different fishing styles – from backcountry waters to reefs and wrecks offshore. He caters to anglers of all levels of expertise.

    Great morning fishing trip with my two sons.

    Captain John was very professional and knowledgeable. He’s a very honest and good man. Was great with the kids. We caught a bunch of snapper, a grouper, and a shark. Great day!

    We had a fun evening of fishing and caught a giant barracuda and got to see a beautiful sunset on the water. Highly recommend captain John!!!

    The experience wasn’t that great because we didn’t catch any fish, The captain was trying hard to get us fish by wasn’t any.

Team FUNYET Bested 500 anglers and 84 boats to take Grand Champion in this 2 day tournament. A 32.89 lb dolphin taken day one held off hundreds of entries to win the tourney.

Hit the deep wrecks and had great action on BIG snapper and amber jack. Wreck is in over 300 feet of water and the tackle is heavy spin.
