Christine Paul5.0VerificeretDonald Johnson is the best guide on Lake Guntersville.
4 timers tur (Eftermiddag) • 2 voksneWe have fished with Donald Johnson for several years. We feel he is the best guide on the lake - he has fished it all his life. Donald will always put you on fish. Today, we caught 42 quality bass. Donald always keeps his boat spotless, and the fishing tackle you will use is very nice. Donald is very polite and always fun to be with.

4 Timers Tur (AM) • 2 voksneWe put 68 in the boat on our trip, with several Quality fish. Donald is an awesome guide with so much knowledge. We worked on adding some new techniques to my game. Donald put us on fish at every stop we made. I could not recommend Donald enough!! If you want to be put on fish, he is the man!!

4 Hour Trip – Weekend - 11:00 AM • 3 voksneThis was our first time on a freshwater fishing charter. We had a group of 3 adults, all new to fishing. Don did a great job teaching us how to fish and we each caught bass and had a great time. I would definitely book again.

This week has been amazing!
Sep 12, 2025 • Guntersville
It was another awesome week full of catching as the fish bit consistently every day but one. Clients averaged catching 41 bass each 4 hour trip with trips every day. I was fortunate that clients wanted me to fish along with them some this week however I would much rather seen them catch the big ones. Don’t let the guide fish unless it’s to teach you a technique or help you learn. Below are pictures of some of the biggest ones caught this week. The bite will continue strong and only get better as the water temperature drops.
I have very few dates left for October, if you would like to have an opportunity to catch some of these beautiful Lake Guntersville bass choose me!

Unforgetable memories made today
May 17, 2025 • Guntersville
Another fantastic morning of catching for Mr. Dan and his daughter. They landed 38 nice ones during their 4 hour trip. This week has been really good with several big fish caught. We had a 7.63 Monday and several 5 to 6 pounders caught all during the week. If you would like to get out and have fun catching some fish now is a perfect time. If you want to get out on your own I offer a waypoint package that will get you a jumpstart on being in the right place throwing the right baits saving you lots of time. Give me a call and let’s get a time set to make your unforgettable memories.

80 nice ones landed in 4 hours
Aug 1, 2024 • Guntersville
Mr. Dan had one of the best mornings in a while today! I guarantee he will be resting the remainder of today as I will too recovering from this trip! He caught a fish on the second cast then he went an entire 14 minutes without a bite. After that it was on! When it was all said and done he was at 79 fish landed at the end of 4 hours. We stayed over an additional 3 minutes to put number 80 in the boat! When you think about catching a big quantity of bass you think most of them would be small, Not Today as only 3 were small. The other 77 were some nice ones! If you would like to have an opportunity to have a day like Mr. Dan did today or ask about a waypoint package so you will have productive areas marked and know what baits to throw give me a call!
