    Fantastic trip, great fishing

    Our family booked with Captain Dave after looking at many charters from Port Washington to Sheybogan. Captain Dave and First Mate Glen were great hosts and made our family feel welcomed. We had a 5&9 year old on born and Glen was excellent at keeping the kids engaged. Dave worked the whole trip to ensure lines had all the different lures needed for a good trip. Dave kept the lines in the water all the way to the end with 3 of our fish coming on the way back into the harbor. We ended up with 8 nice fish and we all had a great time. Would absolutely book with Dave again!

    Wonderful trip!

    We did not have any luck for the first couple of hours. Then a couple of fish. The fish started biting towards the end of our time, and they took the time to let us reel in all the bites despite the hour. They even helped us figure out a plan for the fish since we were from out of town and staying at a hotel. Great trip and great service! Highly recommend!

    Another great day of fishing with Captain Dave!

    This was our second outing with Captain Dave. Our trip was originally planned for Monday, but small craft advisory prevented us going out. Dave reached out early Sunday evening to let us know and he so kindly rescheduled us to Wednesday morning. The trip was so educational, exciting for our 14 yr old grandson and friend not to mention Gma/Gpa. We can't wait to go again! Thanks Dave and Todd!!

    Great half day charter!

    Captain Dave and First Mate Brad were fantastic hosts for our half day charter. They had a great boat setup, clearly communicated what they needed from us to reel in big fish, and answered a lot of questions from my 10yo son. Overall, experience was one I would highly recommend and we walked away with 12 salmon and one nice brown trout neatly filleted for quite a bounty.

    Captain Dave and mate Todd are a terific team! They’re personable, engaging and knowledgeable about their craft. We’re repeat customers and each time we’ve gone out with them we’ve had great outcomes - today we were one fish shy of limit! Highly recommend if you’re heading out from Port Washington, WI to do some salmon fishing on the “Big Lake.”

Finding Fish Morning After Storms

Cole booked a morning trip aboard Fishin Da Net with his friend Andrew, each with their respective child, Huck and Aubrey. My favorite trips are with children old enough to remember their first experience on Lake Michigan. The air and water was chilly early on. The sunshine warmed everyone up nicely as the morning progressed. Yesterday's storms scattered the fish so we had to work to find them. We did manage to land 6 nice coho salmon, 1 average size king salmon, and 1 small king salmon for the group to enjoy. Everyone, including the first mate Kim and captain yours truly, had a wonderful time on the water enjoying the company along with the sun. The kiddos even got a little nap in too! Thanks Cole for booking the trip!

Fast and Furious Coho Salmon

Jan booked a trip aboard Fishin Da Net for some May coho salmon action. The action was fast and furious indeed! Jan and Jim landed their limit of 9 coho salmon and 1 king salmon in just under an hour of fishing time. The company was great and so was the fishing! Thanks, Jan for booking the trip.

Salmon Fishing Tutorial Live

Yesterday morning, Gary booked a charter trip aboard Fishin Da Net wanting to learn more about how we fish for salmon on Lake Michigan here in Port Washington. He recently moved to the area from Washington state. He has lots of experience fishing salmon in the Pacific northwest but realized our fishing techniques here for salmon are quite different. Thus, he booked a charter to learn about the quirks we have here in Wisconsin. First mate Todd and I explained everything we did and the rationale behind our choices to coax the salmon to bite our lures. Gary said he enjoyed the trip and learned much while reeling in his limit of 4 king salmon and 1 coho salmon to Da Net! We also landed a bonus king salmon while reeling in lines at the end of the trip. Thanks, Gary, for booking the trip and good luck to you fishing here in Port Washington! I have some openings this weekend and next week. Georgia Rain and Big Kings

Jul 30, 2025 • Port Washington
Yesterday morning, Mike and his wife and three children stopped for a day in Port Washington after traveling from Georgia to experience what Lake Michigan has to offer. They battled some rough yet fishable seas and heavy rain during the ride back to the harbor to step up toe to toe with big king salmon and coho salmon. We ended up bringing 4 king salmon and 2 coho salmon to Da Net. The three biggest fish were all in the 15-17 pound range which means big salmon filets to feed the family for quite some time. Thanks, Mike for booking the trip! The king salmon are around and putting up great fights! Give me a holler to book your trip. I have openings in the morning on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday next week as well as afternoons on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Capt. Rescheduling Rewards

After a big northeast blow yesterday, new to Fishin Da Net customer Michael rescheduled his charter he originally booked for Friday. We were blessed with much calmer seas than yesterday, and he was rewarded with a limit catch of 3 king salmon and 2 coho salmon. Thank you Michael for rescheduling for today, and I hope to see you again! We found active fish in 80-120 feet of water. Spoons and flasher & fly both took fish.
