'Back Down 2' is owned and operated by Captain Phillip Blackburn. An avid angler, he grew up freshwater fishing in Tennessee with his father and brother. Capt. Phillip has almost two decades of experience, mastering the cast fishing out of Destin. He started his own charter business with his wife Jody. She is a patient and knowledgeable partner who helps Phillip run the company. An experienced angler, Jody caters to their guests' needs and always works hard to provide an excellent service. Capt. Phillip's biggest success is his family and his clients.

5 Hour – Bottom Fishing Trip • 7 voksne • 2 børnWe had a great time fishing on the Back Down 2! We had 7 family members ranging from 4years old to 72 and everyone had a great time! While we didnt catch anything we could keep (im sure this is common in the off season), we did catch over 60 fish and our kids were thrilled with the day which was our main focus. A wildlife biologist joined our trip to tag fish and that was another cool aspect. He and the first mate were very knowledgeable and helpful. We have a very chatty 7 year old with lots of questions and they both took time to talk with him and answer questions. We hope to visit Destin again in the future and would definitely book this same charter to fish again.

4 – hr Trip – Trolling - 12:00 PM • 10 voksne • 2 børnWe had a fun day on the water! It was half of our groups first time to go deep sea fishing and second time for the other half. I got the time wrong and we were an hour late. The captain was very nice and understanding about that. We were able to keep 10 fish, some were out of season or we would of had more. The boat was the perfect size for our group of 10!

5 Hour – Bottom Fishing Trip - 6:00 AM • 7 voksneCaptain Phillip and Jason did a great job handling our group of 7. Everyone caught multiple fish and we almost caught our daily limit of Red Snapper. Everyone in our party had a great experience and we would definitely recommend booking your charter with Captain Phillip and Backdown 2.

5 Hour – Bottom Fishing Trip • 7 voksneOnly went for a 6 hour trip and these guys didnt disappoint! We got on some good snapper, mahi, and even picked up a nice Cobia! Jason, the deckhand , was exceptional and was a key player in helping land the big Cobia. I highly recommend these guys!
