  Incredible Fishing Trip

  We started the day targeting roosterfish, and once we hit a few spots, it was ON! We ended up catching more than 12 roosters, and honestly, I’m not sure I could have caught another one if I tried. I had told Haysen that my two goals for the trip were to target tuna and roosterfish, and he kept checking for tuna reports offshore throughout the morning. After an incredible morning of catching more roosterfish than I ever could have imagined, we headed offshore in search of tuna. What happened next was straight out of National Geographic. Dolphins, birds, turtles, and tuna were everywhere, with tuna literally skyrocketing out of the water. First line in, and we were instantly hooked up to a tuna! I’m an avid fisherman and have been fortunate enough to experience some incredible days on the water, but this day topped them all. Haysen is an amazing captain who genuinely loves fishing and, more importantly, making sure his clients have the best experience possible. His knowledge, effort, and passion really made the trip unforgettable. What an incredible experience from start to finish.   Fun Trip!!

  I signed up for theTuna and Mahi-mahi trip but the captain said that due to El Nino, water temps were too high. Mahi according to thefish market have not been seen or several months, a water was aroud 85 degrees. Tuna were very scarce and we did not see any spinner dolphins. Captain and mat picked us up at 6 am in his panga with twin 60 HP. Captain caught live bait the night before. We went 25 miles off shore to look for tuna in the canyons. After about 4 hours of no tuna or mahi, we went to the coast and fished with live bait for bottom fish. Within minutes hooked into Rooster fish, blue trevally and several species of jacks...We then fished off of a wreck and continued to catch similar species. It turned out to be a fun trip.

  Captain Haysen is the man! I wanted to catch roosterfish and tuna. Captain Haysen put us on roosters right away. We caught them all morning. Then decided to chase Big Yellowfin. Captain would not give up. He found a school of monsters. We hooked into a 100 lb Yellowfin which I fought for 40 minutes. What a battle! If you are coming to this area, Captain Haysen is the guy to put you on fish! He knows fishing and where to find them.

  Sailfish landed on my fly rod !!!

  An absolutely amazing day fishing for sailfish with Haysen and his mate!!!! I landed 4 sailfish ,one on my 12 wt fly rod!!!! Hooked into 2 others on my fly rod , but lost them!!! They gave me incredible “coaching” to help me land a sailfish on a fly rod, my first on fly rod. 3 others landed on rod and reel, with other mutiple hookups!!!!! An amazing ”mind blowing” day on the water with him and mate!!! First Class Operation !! Thanks!!!!!! One very happy fisherman from Alaska!!!

  Haysen was awesome! I wanted to fish certain techniques for an uncommon species that most captains won't even allow you to do. Haysen was at our service perfectly! He is very pleasant and professional. Not the typical drunken arrogant jackass you find in this price range. I highly recommend him! His boat and equipment were well above average for this price range. You're not going to find a better value than this. The waters in this area are full of a variety of species and lots of action.
