Captain Eric Henkis is the owner and the operator of Uprising Tours Fishing. Born and raised in Belize, he knows these bountiful waters like the palm of his hand. He has over 16 years of experience as a captain and he loved being on the water since he was a kid. His grandfather was a fisherman and Captain Eric couldn't wait to follow in his footsteps. He and his team will do their best to make sure you have a memorable day on the water.

    incredible experience!

    everything was exceptional! we had a great trip with great weather, incredible fishing, and a bunch of cool memories! thank you for an unforgettable experience! the fish were delicious when we had the local restaurant that you recommended cook then up. we can't wait to come back and go again! captain Chris & jhon were great and made the trio so much more enjoyable. a must do on your next trip to belize! our catching a 33 on mahi mahi will stick with us forever!

    A Highlight of our Trip

    Fiskeri, Snorkling & Strand BBQ • 4 voksne

    Chris and Jhon were our guides for the day and they were amazing! They knew all the hot spots from beginning to the end. They started out by catching all of our bait that we used throughout the day. The first stop we were catching fish. The first big catch was a barracuda that was over 3' long! After the fishing was done they started us off with ceviche on a remote beach. The meal they cooked was one of the best we had while on San Pedro!

    Fantastisk kaptajn og besætning til offshore fiskeri

    Fiskeriet var hårdt, men sådan er det nogle gange. Kaptajn Eric rykkede starten 2 timer tilbage, fordi fiskene bed sent på dagen; og som han sagde, så vi ikke meget, før de spottede noget tun mod slutningen af turen. De trollede rundt om fugle og tangpletter. Gjorde alt rigtigt. Grejet var fantastisk. Trolling-opstillingen blev ekspertmæssigt udlagt og vedligeholdt. Vi endte kun med at fange et halvt dusin barracuda, men det var på ingen måde kaptajnens og besætningens skyld.

    Couldn’t have been better!

    Dylan and Jon made our excursion excellent. The day just got better and better. They made the reef fishing fun, the Hol Chan reserve and Shark Ray Alley outdid our expectations for a snorkeling experinces. It was like being in an aquarium. Swimming with the Sharks was incredible. Then we went and stood in a shallow bay and rays swam by, brushing by our legs. And on the boat ride back to the dock we saw a Hammer Head! It was topped off with a tray of fresh fruit and Rum Punch mid-day. We will definitely be doing this tour again when we return to Belize. Unmatchable experience for marine life interactions!

    Tog en heldagstur til havs, bare mig og min kone. Startede med et misset bid, og havde så en sejlfisk på i kort tid, men linen brøkkede. Derefter gik det langsomt i cirka 5 timer, hvor vi dog fangede to barracuda. Dylan og Mario arbejdede hårdt helt til det sidste, og i de sidste 30 minutter fangede vi 4 guldmakrel. Vi havde tre på på én gang til sidst!!! Fantastisk dag på vandet!! Men en dag med fiskeri er altid en god dag!

Kaptajn Eric og hans besætning var fantastiske, super venlige og hjalp damerne med at hale en stor tun ind, jeg anbefaler på det varmeste kaptajn Eric, hans båd Knotty Fisherman og hans besætning. De er, hvad Belize handler om.

    Fantastisk båd. Kaptajn Erics fiskeviden er fremragende, og hans søn var meget hjælpsom. De var fantastiske til at lære vores børn at fiske på revet, meget tålmodige, og de fangede EN MASSE fisk!!! Jeg ville absolut tage ud med dem igen. Kan varmt anbefales.

    Havde en fantastisk fisketur med kaptajn Eric og Eric Jr.! De her fyre ved virkelig, hvad de laver – super erfarne, professionelle og sørgede for, at hele turen var en god oplevelse fra start til slut. De fik os ud til fiskene og sørgede for, at vi nød hvert eneste minut på vandet. Kan varmt anbefale at booke med dem – vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage igen!

    Dylan and John were amazing. They knew exactly where to go and were great with our two young boys…helping them catch their first open sea catch(es). After just a half day on the water we caught enough Snapper to bring back and fee our entire families (8 ppl) for dinner that night. Dylan even helped us clean and filet all our catch and sent us with a few recommendations on restaurants that would take care of us. Amazing fish trip!

Seasons Catch

Just the best abroad the "UPRISING" Sun was shining the weather was sweet.... Every day it was different. It all starts early, as the early bird catches the fish. A cast of the net to catch the first batch of fresh Sardins. Once Sardins are on live well we are ready to go. The spot is chosen depending how the weather is. Head out to captains choice. Deeper water from 80 to 200 ft for big fish and in shallow water small fish. On flat days we went to the deep to catch the big fish and on the choppy days we stayed in to catch the snappers and small ones. Everyday a different experience. Fun Fun Fun.........
