Hi, I'm Captain Tony Polizze. Originally from the Jersey Shore, I grew up in Wildwood Crest and Cape May, New Jersey—where my love for fishing began the day I landed a 38' striped bass right off the beach. From that moment on, I was hooked. Growing up, I spent my summers fishing up north and my winters down in South Florida, where I explored the waters of the southeast and southwest coasts—and eventually, the Florida Keys. The contrast between northern and southern fisheries shaped me as an angler, giving me a deep respect for the challenge and strategy each species brings. Even now, I'm always thinking through how to land the next trophy fish these beautiful waters have to offer. Today, I'm proud to call the Florida Keys home and run my fishing charter out of Big Pine Key—right in the heart of some of the best fishing in the world. From backcountry, bridge, and patch reef fishing to thrilling offshore trips, there's always something exciting to chase in any season or condition. But fishing isn't the only thing that drives me—family is everything to me. My wife and I share a deep love for the ocean and the lifestyle that comes with living in the Keys. We've spent countless days together exploring these waters, and it never gets old. We're raising our two beautiful daughters, Olivia and Claudia, to appreciate the same sense of adventure, nature, and connection that fishing brings. One of my greatest joys is sharing this experience with other families—especially kids. I love teaching children how to fish and seeing their excitement when they reel in something colorful and wild. For me, fishing is about more than just the catch. It's about the experience, the patience, and the lasting memories created on the water. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a first-time fisherman, I invite you to join me for an unforgettable day on the water. Let's create memories that will last a lifetime. Tight lines, Captain Tony Your Fishing Guide to the Florida Keys

    Core memories were made!

    Solnedgangs fiskekrydstogt • 4 voksne • 2 børn

We had an incredible experience with Captain Tony! From the moment we stepped on the boat, he made our family feel completely at ease. He was so patient with our 6-year-old twins, answering what felt like a million “why?” questions with kindness and enthusiasm. He took the time to carefully explain how everything worked and why, making the trip educational as well as fun. By the end of the evening, it honestly felt like we had spent time with a family member rather than someone we had just met. His knowledge, patience, and genuine love for what he does made this one of the highlights of our vacation. We truly couldn’t recommend Captain Tony more and would book with him again in a heartbeat!

We had an incredible deep sea fishing experience with Captain Tony! From the moment we set out, he was professional, friendly, and clearly knew exactly where to go for the best catch. He made everyone feel comfortable, whether you were experienced or brand new to fishing, and was always ready to help with tips and guidance. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped, and safety was clearly a top priority. Best of all—we caught plenty of fish and had an amazing time doing it! Captain Tony’s knowledge, patience, and great attitude made the whole trip unforgettable. If you’re looking for a fun, successful day out on the water, I highly recommend booking with Captain Tony. We’ll definitely be back!

An awesome Father’s Day trip with my daughter

    3 Timers Tur – Baglandet (Morgen) • 2 voksne

We were interested in a back country trip for snappers for a nice lunch. well we caught one keeper. However, the large barracuda (mine) and the 6’ bull shark (my daughter 🤣) along with a bunch of other fish we’d never caught made up for it. Capt Tony is an awesome guide. Very personable. The kind of person you enjoy spending the day with! Boat and equipment very nice. He taught us quite a bit about the different techniques used in the area. A wonderful experience and we plan on doing this with Capt. Tony again. Thank you!

Amazing experience with an unexpected outcome!

    3 Timers Tur – Baglandet (Morgen) • 4 voksne • 1 barn

We went on the fishing trip to catch some decent size fish. The experience was predominantly for our boys, 12 and 15. Our 15 year old was hoping to catch some good fish. The boys did catch a variety of fish. But…. Long story short, one of the bigger fish our son caught got bitten off the rod- with only the head left. Captain Tony set up a rail for a shark using that head as the bait and our boy ended catching a 7 ft shark! Captain Tony was amazing, he was guiding our son and steering the boat so that he can get the shark to the top. He spent extra time with us because of that, and at no time he pressured to go back. In fact he encouraged our son to keep going. I would definitely recommend Captain Tony and if we are ever back in the Keys, we will be booking another trip.

It was truly an amazing experience sharing the incredible fishery the Florida Keys has to offer with you and your family. I’m especially glad we were able to land that shark for your son—he did a fantastic job, especially considering we were fighting a 175+ pound shark on 40 lb braid! Until next time, wishing you all following seas and tight lines. Capt. Tony 🎣

    Great Morning On The Water!

    3 Timers Tur – Brofiskeri (Morgen) • 3 voksne

Captain Tony is a fantastic host and a super nice guy! We came back with fish for dinner, reeled in a 5ft nurse shark shortly into the trip, and a nice tarpon to close out the trip at the end. We also had a barracudda on the line but my novice fishing skills let him get away. Overall i would highly recommend a trip with Tony if you want a relaxed and fun day on the water. Thanks Tony for a womderful time!

Mid‑August Mangrove & Yellowtail Bite

Aug 12, 2026 • Big Pine Key
Mid-August Lower Keys Fishing Report The Mangrove Snapper bite continues strong as we head into mid-August. This is primarily an early-morning fishery, and Mangrove Snapper can be found in the deep channels of the backcountry, around patch reefs, and along the reef edge. Getting an early start and presenting your bait naturally can make all the difference. The Yellowtail Snapper bite has been decent on the reef, but finding current and staying stealthy with your presentation is important. The water is extremely clear right now, and if you can see the fish, they can see you! Light leaders, natural presentations, and a little patience can go a long way. There are also plenty of Cero and Spanish Mackerel around, hitting both live and dead baits on the surface. Be sure to have some wire leader ready because these fish can show up fast and make short work of lighter tackle. The bridge fishing has slowed a bit this week. Floating weeds moving through the bridges, combined with the summer heat, has made things more challenging. That said, this fishery can wake up at any given moment. Bridge fishing is all about the hunt, timing, tides, and moving current. Staying dialed in to the solunar feeding periods can help close the gap when conditions are tough. Offshore, the Mahi bite continues, although the amount of floating weed has made trolling more challenging. There are still plenty of fish to be found. Keep your eyes open for birds, floating debris, weed lines, and any other signs of life. When you find them, be ready with plenty of chunk bait to throw at the school and keep the action going. The Lower Keys are still producing plenty of opportunities this August. Get out early, stay mobile, and be ready when the bite turns on. Tight lines and happy fishing! Capt. Dinner and action! Florida Keys Island F

Aug 4, 2026 • Big Pine Key
Beautiful morning on the water in the backcountry of Big Pine Key! We had a family of four aboard, and they made the most of every opportunity. We started by catching live bait, then filled the livewell and got to work. It’s all part of the fishing experience, and the payoff was worth it! We put enough fish in the cooler for a fresh dinner, and the action really turned up when a big barracuda exploded on one of our live baits on the surface. The fight was on, and everyone had a blast! Fishing with kids is one of the best parts of what I do. Watching them learn, laugh, and experience the excitement of a fish on the line creates memories that last a lifetime. End Of July Fishing Report.

Jul 23, 2026 • Big Pine Key
End of July Fishing Report – Lower Keys & Big Pine Key Summer fishing is in full swing here in the Lower Keys, especially around Big Pine Key, and the action has been steady! We’ve been focusing on the deep channels throughout the backcountry, where they act like underwater highways for fish on the move. Early mornings and late afternoons have been the most productive, as the fish tend to move deeper during the heat of the day. The backcountry has been producing plenty of Mangrove Snapper, Barracuda, Sharks, and even a few Red Grouper. Over at the Bahia Honda Bridge, there are still resident Tarpon around, although they’re becoming more scattered. This week we also landed a nice Goliath Grouper, along with plenty of snapper action and some exciting barracuda and shark chase-downs that kept everyone on their toes. The reef edge continues to hold good numbers of Yellowtail Snapper, Cero Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, and a variety of other species. Setting out a spread has been producing action, and you never know what’s going to show up behind the boat. We also keep a jig and a few spoons ready to cast at surface-feeding fish whenever the opportunity presents itself. The Mahi-Mahi bite is on, but it’s definitely a hunt. The sargassum weed is finally beginning to bunch up into defined weed lines, creating excellent trolling opportunities. Keep an eye out for birds, floating debris, and clean weed edges—when you find them, it’s game on! At the end of the day, it’s not just about the fish—it’s about making memories with family and friends while enjoying everything the Florida Keys has to offer. Tight lines, and we’ll see you on the water! Capt. Tony Florida Keys Island Fishing ? Big Pine Key & Lower Keys **hidden content**

Fish On!

Jul 3, 2026 • Big Pine Key
Lower Keys Fishing Report – July 3, 2026 Fishing has been good, but understanding the tides and using the right tactics will put you on the bite. We are currently in a waning gibbous moon phase, heading toward the last quarter moon on July 7. As the water temperatures continue to rise, we’re entering prime time for the Mangrove Snapper spawn. The deep channels in the backcountry have been producing well, as fish are moving down the water column in search of cooler water. Working the bottom with fish-finder and knocker rigs can reward anglers with quality grouper and snapper. Setting out live baits on the surface can quickly lead to hookups with mackerel and barracuda—not to mention the sharks that always seem to show up. The bridges continue to hold good numbers of fish, including both Mangrove Snapper and Mutton Snapper. Plenty of other species are mixed in, so come prepared with several leader setups and be ready when the bite turns on. The reef edge is holding an abundant amount of Yellowtail Snapper. Chum is the name of the game, and fishing in 70 to 80 feet of water along the edge is producing some beautiful tails. There are also plenty of King and Cero Mackerel in the mix, so keep a wire rig ready and send out a live ballyhoo for your chance at a screaming run. Solunar Outlook: With the waning gibbous moon, the best feeding windows this week should occur around sunrise and again during the late evening into the overnight hours as the moon rises later each night. Plan your trips around moving water during these periods for your best chance at success. Fishing is good in the Lower Keys… Let’s Go!

Summer Kick off fishing report

Jun 19, 2026 • Big Pine Key
Florida Keys Fishing Report The summer sun is heating up, and the fish are biting! We’re seeing a strong flow of Sargassum grass this season, with weed lines filling many of our beaches and channels. Finding clean water and moving current has become a key factor to success. Having live bait—or the ability to catch it—continues to give anglers a huge advantage. The Snapper bite has been a bit slower due to weak currents, so we’ve been putting out a spread and covering all the bases. This week we found a beautiful 24-inch Red Grouper along with some nice Mangrove Snapper in the backcountry. Positioning the boat and presenting baits properly has been the difference-maker. There are plenty of fish to be found, but avoiding slack tides and targeting deeper channels where fish seek cooler water will greatly improve your chances. Summer fishing is in full swing, and there are still plenty of opportunities to put together a great catch. Let’s Get ’Em! ? Captain Tony Florida Keys Island Fishing

Permit and Tarpon time in the Florida Ke

Apr 20, 2026 • Big Pine Key
Tarpon and Permit are on the move here in the Lower Keys, and things are heating up fast. We’ve been focusing on strong moving water around the bridges, where the Tarpon are showing up in good numbers—rolling, tail-slapping, and making their presence known. It’s a game of patience and persistence, but when it all comes together, it’s as exciting as it gets. Out on the reef edge, the Yellowtail bite remains steady, with some quality fish in the mix. Mackerel are also cruising through, so be ready—things can change fast, and when the bite turns on, it’s game on. Springtime fishing is in full swing down here. Let’s get after it.
