An avid angler and local to the Tampa Bat area, Capt. Phil used to enjoy taking his friends out on fishing trips. Those same friends encouraged him to start doing it professionally and he decided to take up their advice and got his fishing license. He loves taking different people fishing, no matter how much experience they have on the water. He aims to get everyone targeting Snook – his favorite fish – and enjoying as much as he does.

    My husband and I had an absolutely amazing time on our fishing trip! From the moment we left the dock, Captain Phil knew exactly where the fish were biting. His knowledge of the area and determination to keep us on the fish made this one of the best fishing trips we have ever had. We caught an incredible variety of fish, including snook, needlefish, snapper, catfish, trout, pinfish, and even hooked into a shark! It seemed like every stop brought another exciting catch, and there was never a dull moment. Not only was the fishing fantastic, but the captain was friendly, professional, and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. We made unforgettable memories, caught more fish than we expected, and had an absolute blast. We can’t wait to come back and fish with this captain again. Five stars all the way!

    My son and my two friends had an absolute blast with Awestruck. Capatin Phil was very personable and knowledgeable. We were able to catch a variety of fish at the areas he took us to (plenty for a great dinner). He even took extra time with my 8 year old son who actually caught more fish than the rest of us. This was the highlight of our trip to the area and I highly recommend him. He even informed us of some other species he like to fish for if you are looking to just have fun and catch as many as you can. We also got to see dolphins (who kind of shut us down at our first location after we were on a roll) and a manatee at our second spot. I cannot thank him enough for a great time and I will definitely be looking him up when we are back in the area. 5 stars for sure!

    Captain Phil was absolutely amazing. He went the extra mile to make sure we caught fish, and we ended up catching a ton of big snook along with speckled and silver trout. He knows the waters extremely well and put us on some awesome spots all day. He was kind, patient, and made the whole trip a great experience. Highly recommend booking with Captain Phil , he’s a wonderful guide and an even better person!

    Captain Phil is awesome!

    My daughter a friend and myself chartered an 8 hour trip. Captain Phil notified us of the weather shift and modified our trip to work around it. We had a great trip and were able to land several large fish as well as catch our limit on sea trout. This was the best charter experience to date. We plan to use Phil the next time we are in the area.

    Capt. Phil is Great!

    My wife, son, and I had a great trip with Capt. Phil. We did a 6 hour trip and started offshore and then came back in and fished for Snook. We caught a bunch of fish and brought some back for fish tacos! Phil is a great guy and is perfect for families. I highly recommend. We hope to fish with him again soon!

    our captain knew exactly where to take us and where to find the fish! Of at least 20 fish that we caught, we were able to bring home four with us. Our captain cleaned and prepared the fish for us to take with us when we left. We had an amazing dinner that night from rod to table!

    Took a half-day trip with my son, Capt Phil was great, like fishing with an old friend. We limited out on speckled trout and got in a fun school of yellow tailed jacks that were a blast to catch. We caught fish the whole time we really enjoyed it.

Snapper, snapper, snapper!

Recent trips near shore have produced some great table fare! Snapper are here, and in good numbers. We visited a few spots 9 miles from shore and in, to catch some dinner, and it did not disappoint. We caught our limit of mangrove snapper, some lane snapper, and porgies to make fish tacos with. It was great to eat and a blast to catch, with grunts, sheephead, black drum, small grouper and others mixed in, we had 4 hours of almost non-stop action. If the bite slowed down, we moved a short distance and started getting multiple hookups again.
