Captain Joe Jenkins began fishing along the North Carolina coast in the 1980s, primarily out of Topsail Beach. Growing up, he targeted Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, and other inshore and nearshore species. His passion for fishing eventually led him offshore, where he quickly became hooked on catching King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Grouper, Snapper, and billfish. After an eight-year detour serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Capt. Joe returned to his passion and has been fishing the waters around Charleston, SC, and Wilmington, NC, ever since!

    Full day with Captain Joe

    Full Day Trip • 2 voksne

    We did a full day with Captain Joe and his son DJ. The forecast called for decently clear waters, but that certainly changed. We all made the best of the trip, and it seems like every boat wasn't having much luck that day, which I feel is expected the first weekend in April. We still had fun and I think they did a great job navigating and putting us on the fish that they did. We are certainly looking forward to eating what we caught and appreciate them cutting the fish for us!

    6 hour trip with Captain Joe

    Was a great trip, didn't waste time getting to the fishing spot. Joe knew right where to find the fish. Had one in the boat in less then 15 minutes. Was great at sharing his knowledge. I didn't think there was so much difference between fresh and saltwater fishing. I learned alot in the short trip. Will definitely make a return trip. Highly recommend Joe for your next trip.

    AMAZING FISHING EXPERIENCE ! I cant begin to describe the quality and enjoyment of the trip provided by Captain Joe ! Putting us in the areas to maximize our quantity and quality of different types of fish. He has the knowledge, tools and equipment that provided a A+ time on water. My wife is 7 months pregnant and Captain Joe was unbelievable in making sure she was taken care of on ever level ! We couldn't have asked for a better time and Captain ! We are definitely using Captain Joe next time and everytime we want to Charter fish !

    3/4 day (8hr) trip w/ Captain Joe

    We had a great experience with captain Joe! This was us fours first time deep sea fishing and it was my 23rd birthday, one I’ll never forget! We caught 11 Spanish Mackerel for the day, the beginning was slow but onto plan b he went. Not to mention the beautiful ocean sunrise we got to see along with tons of jelly fish and a 7-8 foot shark! At the end we even got to tie off to someone else’s boat and go for a swim. Overall recommend captain Joe he even cleaned our fish! It was a lifetime experience we’ll all remember.

The bite is one! Now is the time to load your coolers with some bottom fish and practice for the opening of grouper season May 1st. Last weekend we had our limit of BSB and Beeliners in just a couple stops. And the grouper are thick! Book a trip!
