Christopher Salo

My connection to Maui and the ocean began in 1995, when I moved to Maui and started working at the Grand Wailea Resort with an ocean concession business. I helped guests get set up for their ocean adventures, including catamarans, kayaks, and snorkeling. While working there, I started offering kayak fishing tours, and I had a great time sharing my love of fishing with visitors. That experience led me to start my own guide service, offering fishing, snorkeling, and hiking. I really enjoyed getting people outdoors and helping them experience the beauty of Maui. Fishing and being on the water have been a part of my life for most of my life. I've gained experience fishing both from the beach and offshore, and for the past four years, I've worked as a first mate and fisherman aboard a 63-foot luxury catamaran. I enjoy sharing what I've learned through my years of fishing and spending time on the ocean. Whether you've been fishing for years or are trying it for the first time, I want you to feel comfortable, have fun, and enjoy the experience. With my Maui background and passion for fishing, I'm excited to offer a relaxed beach-fishing experience that combines fishing, local knowledge, breakfast, and coffee. My goal is to help you enjoy a beautiful Maui morning, learn something new, and hopefully put some fish on the line.
