    2-6 eftermiddagstur til hummer og hvad kaptajnen ellers anbefalede. Forholdene var ikke gunstige. Kaptajnen var fantastisk. Vi så et par stykker. De var for hurtige og for dybe. Men vi har måske bedre held på næste tur. Fiskede en times tid og fik samlet et par måltiders værd af grå snapper, fåresnapper og pletsnapper. Fantastisk oplevelse.

    Et sandt tegn på et pålideligt og erfarent fiskeri charter er, hvor godt de betjener deres kunder, når fiske- og sejlforholdene er mindre end ideelle. Kaptajn Matt er en fantastisk bådkaptajn og erfaren guide. Vi havde kraftig vind og høje bølger det meste af dagen. Takket være kaptajn Matts dybdegående kendskab til Keys og fremragende sejlfærdigheder lykkedes det os at fange 60+ fisk med 21 bevarere. Jeg selv, min kone og min søn blev behandlet som guld hele dagen. Jeg anbefaler på det varmeste og vil booke hos Good Times Key West igen meget snart

    Matt spildte ikke et sekund med at få os på fiskene. Lidt bølget, men bestemt oplevelsen værd. Vi spiste vores fangst til frokost på Mac's. Frisk fisk, intet er bedre! Elskede det.

    Sjov dag på fisketure

    Havde en fantastisk dag med fiskeri! Fangede nok gulhalet snapper til at have til frokost. Havde en god oplevelse med Justin, han var meget tålmodig med min 15-årige søn og besvarede alle hans spørgsmål. Vi fangede endda en ål, som selvfølgelig blev genudsat, men det var en sjov oplevelse. Mac's place gør også et fantastisk stykke arbejde med at tilberede den friskfangede fisk.

    Excellent fishing trip!

    Captain Justin did a great job balancing catching target fish and pivoting to opportunities available. We caught some big game nurse shark and spinner and ample size mangrove snapper that made for an enjoyable dinner for us all. Captain Justin was knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we were all comfortable and having a good time throughout! Highly recommend - he took the time to ensure things were done the right way!

Cold water temps.

Feb 3, 2026 • Key West
The water temp has been coldest I've seen in a few years. The inshore fishery was almost non existent for a couple days. Luckily as soon as the cold weather turned, the mangrove, lane snappers, and sharks slowly starting coming back. On the days with decent conditions and adventurous guests, we ventured to a bit deeper reefs looking for a little warmer water temps. We found some nice red grouper (season closed till May) and a verity of quality snappers. Beyond the reef has been decent. Not exactly all the designer fish, but plenty of action to had be had. Decent numbers of of cero, Spanish, and king mackerels, some cudas, and bonita have been caught. I heard of a handful of sailfish being caught, but was not luckily to hook or see any myself.

Yesterday was a pretty special day. Not only for our birthday girl onboard, but also for the crew. We spotted, chased, and caught multiple sailfish in as shallow as 25’ of water on the reef. As we ventured offshore it didn’t take long before we found some December mahi in 150’. We whacked a few mahi, then trolled our way back home, along the way we found some bonus mackerel in hawks channel. Everyday is different and yesterday was certainly one to remember.

Offshore bite heats up with cooler temps

The cooler weather is bringing our winter time fisheries. Live bait has been plentiful. Pelagic species including Blackfin tuna and mackerel are pushing in shallower towards the reef line. Makes for less commute and more fishing time! Inshore bite has been steady with impressive numbers and size of a verity of species. Cobia have been found on the wrecks. Big muttons in the shallow waters of the backcountry, and quality yellowtail and lane snappers on the patch reefs. Weather your looking to go offshore or inshore fishing while in Key West, we’d love to get you hooked up.
