I have been on the water from the time I was several months old. I grew up fishing all of the Lakes around DFW and southern Oklahoma with my dad. I currently live right next to Lake Lewisville and fish every moment I can get and love to share my knowledge of the lake and targeted species with clients. My 2nd trip as a guide was with a family of 4, their teenage son walked into my boat and saw that I was barefooted while going over a few rules and safety items on the boat, he looked at his family very excited and informed them that their captain was barefoot and insisted that meant they were going to catch a lot of fish on that particular day. From that moment Barefoot Guide Service was born.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ En absolut fantastisk oplevelse med Barefoot Guide Services! Jeg bookede denne fisketur som en tidlig fødselsdagsgave til min datter, og jeg kunne ærligt talt ikke have ønsket mig en bedre oplevelse. Jake, vores båds kaptajn, gjorde et fremragende stykke arbejde fra start til slut. Alt var organiseret og klar til brug – stænger, hjul, agn og alt andet, vi havde brug for. Båden var ren, velholdt og komfortabel, og selve bådeturen var i sig selv en stor del af oplevelsen. Og fiskeriet var utroligt! Vi fangede en masse fisk – hvid bars, hybrider, trommefisk og endda sortmundet bas. Min datter fangede flere fisk, end hun nogensinde havde forestillet sig, og at se smilet på hendes ansigt hele turen er noget, jeg aldrig vil glemme. Det, der gjorde denne tur særligt betydningsfuld, er, at det faktisk er min datter, der fik mig tilbage til fiskeriet. Når man virkelig begynder at få øjnene op for fiskeri, kan en god oplevelse tidligt i forløbet lægge fundamentet for en livslang passion. Denne tur gjorde præcis det for hende. Mellem spændingen ved at kæmpe med fiskene, alt det Jake lærte os, og bare det at være derude sammen, befæstede det fuldstændigt hendes kærlighed til fiskeri. Jake gik ud over det forventede hele vejen igennem. Ved slutningen af turen rensede og filetterede han endda vores fisk og havde det hele pakket ned, så vi kunne tage det med hjem. Jeg kan virkelig ikke sige nok godt om Jake og Barefoot Guide Services.     Fantastisk første fisketur i USA

    Mens vi holdt ferie i Texas fra UK, lavede vi en last-minute booking med Jake for mig og min søn. Det har altid stået på vores bucket list at fiske i USA, og Jake skuffede ikke - han var fantastisk fra start til slut.     Kaptajnen var en absolut professionel, nummer et. 2, vi tog afsted rigtig tidligt, før kl. 6, og morgenen var absolut smuk og kølig. Vi fangede fisk i mørket! Til sidst var vi ved vores grænse på Hybrid Striped Bass på under en time – de var sgu ved at hoppe ind i båden selv! Og store én af slagsen! Stærkt anbefalet!

May hybrid fishing has arrived and it has been on from the word go! Every tactic has been working, swim baits, jigging bottom as well as live bait. These fish are pissed off and fighting hard. You do not want to miss out on this! We like to call it somewhere between controlled chaos and the train falling off the tracks.

Spring patterns have arrived!

We have been busy over the course of thelast week. There has been plenty pole bending and drag stripping to go around! The hybrid bite has been phenomenal in the evenings and we have had sucess on live bait, jigging spoons as well as casting swim baits. The next 2.5 months are some of the best fishing of the year and there can be times of chaos with every rod in the boat hooked up. Don’t miss out!
