Captain Marc is a Florida native, originally from Palm Beach County where he grew up fishing local bridges, spillways, and inlets, and eventually offshore on the East Coast. He worked as an executive chef with companies such as Tommy Bahamas, Radisson Suites, Morton's Steakhouse and other fine restaurants. In 1995 he took a backcountry flats fishing trip to the Sarasota andCharlotte Harbor areas and was hooked. He started a business here and has not looked back since.

    Fantastic day!

    Captain Marc was easy to book and find. He worked very hard to make our fishing outing very memorable! We caught many different fish (snook, grouper, mackerel, hog fish, pin fish, sea bass and grunt). He helped us snag a King Mackerel for the finale. We had ages 10-82 and already booked with him again for our winter trip. Captain Marc took care of us and did everything including bait our hooks and clean our fish. He was extremely patient with all including our son who has looked forward to this outing for months. His boat and equipment were well organized and immaculate. Looking forward to our December outing with Captain Marc.

    Great Fishing Experience

    I took my two boys, 8 & 4, out with Captain Marc and we had a great experience. We went to a number of different spots and caught a variety of species of fish. The style fishing was pretty straight forward; great for beginners and experts alike. Captain Marc filleted our catch after the trip, and we took home quite a few red snapper, sheepshead, and grunts. Great day on the water! We even got to enjoy a pod of dolphins right around the boat. Would recommend to others.

    Great day on the water

    Captain Mark provided us with a wonderful day on the water. He was proactive with reaching out the evening before to discuss any weather concerns and preferences. Sent us a pin to send us directly to the dock. Most importantly, got us on the fish. He was knowledgeable with the area and successful fishing spots, and kindly shared tips and tricks for better success in hooking up. We had a successful day, and highly recommend booking with Captain Mark!

    Small issue. Capt Marc cancelled our trip because of a misunderstanding. But his bait shop was at access and they worked it out between them. It was a blast with Capt Joe and skipper Sue. Capt Marc I think if we have time this week I would like to come with you. Do you have any openings any days up to Saturday . Thank you Venice reef charters

    i am so goad it all worked out!! i am mortified over the situation. i received a cancellation yestetday and mixed yours up for the trip that cancelled for the next day. i am marked off for saturday on FB but I sent you a text.

    My son and I are not experienced fishermen. Captain Laurin could not be more accommodating, Moreover, we caught a lot of fish. My son caught a 37 1/2 inch Cobia on the last cast of the day. Something he will remember for the rest of his life.

Bad weather and getting it done

Very windy conditions , so we stayed in the bay and ran north up to Sarasota. Found a huge school of jack cravelle that we beat up for a couple hours. We then fished one grass flat that was out of wind catching mutiple trout, mackeral and ladyfish. We then finished with some snook and reds around docks.

With the cool weather, the bite is really picking up. After the cold front thus week, it will be on fire.

The nearshore gulf fishing is fantastic right now ! Cobia, snapper, margate, sheepshead, bonita, and big catch and release grouper. You never know what you may pull up next.
