Captain Taco Perez has been mastering the waters of South Florida since the mid 70's. He fished for Jacks, Tarpon, and whatever else patrolled the canals and Intracoastal waterways. Taco's first boat was a 25' Open Fisherman, aboard which he explored the Ft. Lauderdale coast. Taco gained as much information as possible from local anglers, perfected his cast, and tried various techniques and fishing methods. Before he knew, people began asking him about fishing! Taco's repertoire is not limited to the waters of South Florida. He has fished all over Mexico, Venezuela, St. Thomas, and Turk, as well as the Bahamas. He has successfully taken part in various fishing competitions, including the Bahamas Blue Marlin tournament. Now, Captain Taco has his own charter business and he is loving every minute of it.

    Kaptajn Taco og hans besætning var fremragende. God kommunikation via appen med svar inden for 30 minutter eller mindre. Jack var vores styrmand og han var fremragende! Altid på toppen af grejet, holdt øje med fisk og ledte efter tegn på, hvor fiskene var. Han rensede fisken og pakkede den til os. Hele turen var en fantastisk oplevelse, fra at fange agn til trolling og fange snapper. Båden var ren og som vist på billederne og i annoncen. Masser af plads indendørs og udendørs. Vildt sjovt!     Taco er en fantastisk fyr og en ægte professionel. Jeg vil anbefale dette charter til absolut alle – uanset om du kommer som en lille gruppe, en stor gruppe eller endda med børn. Taco er manden. Han er en lokal med en enorm viden om farvandene, de bedste fiskepladser og hvordan man gør hele oplevelsen sjov og vellykket. Vi landede nogle utrolige fisk – rød snapper, guldmakrel og stor ravfisk – og havde en uforglemmelig tid på vandet.     Cap Taco er manden! Han og hans styrmand Mac var fantastiske. Kaptajn Taco var super at arbejde med, han ringede dagen før for at sikre, at vi alle var på samme side. Når vi kom om bord på båden, fik han os til at føle os som gamle venner og fik os på fisk, så snart vi ramte det åbne hav. Cap Taco holdt os på fisken, mens hans styrmand Mac sled røven ud af bukserne med at holde linerne i vandet, sætte agn på krogene og holde tang væk.     Vi havde en fantastisk tid med at fiske med Kaptajn Taco og hans styrmand Jack. Selvom det var en hård dag på vandet, fik de os stadig til at få bid på nogle fisk! Vi måtte afkorte vores dag på grund af søsyge, men oplevede noget helt enestående ved at fange to Stillehavssejlfisk på samme tid. Styrmand Jack arbejdede hårdt med at rigge og agn vores fisk i bølger på 1,5 til 1,8 meter. Min søn og jeg vil varmt anbefale at fiske med Taco og besætningen!

Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report — Fall Fishing Is Back! Fall is finally here in South Florida, and the fishing is turning on! After a long, tough summer dealing with some of the worst Sargasso seaweed we’ve seen in years, the water is finally clearing up. That means we can get back to doing what we love — trolling the offshore waters of Fort Lauderdale without fighting seaweed all day long! The mahi fishing is producing, and we’re also starting to see some wahoo showing up offshore. The trolling conditions are improving every day, and it’s great to finally have clean water and hungry fish working together. The bottom fishing is also starting to come alive. We’re seeing some nice mutton snapper, yellowtail snapper, and vermilion snapper on the reefs and deeper structure. The bigger kingfish are beginning to show up as well, along with some hard-fighting bonito. It’s been a challenging summer for Fort Lauderdale offshore fishing, but that’s behind us now. Fort Lauderdale Deep Sea Fishing Report: May Highlights & June Forecast May was an incredible month aboard the Hooked Up Sport Fishing off the coast of South Florida! Charter fishing has been outstanding, with an abundance of black fin tuna, sailfish, and a great start to the grouper season. While we didn’t snap too many grouper photos, we did land a gorgeous yellow edge grouper! The weather was fantastic, though the Sargasso weed gave us a few mixed days—but we adapted and kept the bites coming. As we roll into June, we’re gearing up for a big surge of mahi-mahi! Wow, what an incredible finish to March and a fantastic start to April! Deep-sea fishing off Fort Lauderdale with Hooked Up Sport fishing. It is truly off the charts. Our bottom fishing is producing stunning vermilion snappers, and we’re seeing an exciting uptick in Wahoo catches—the Wahoo are here, and we couldn’t be happier! Sailfish are making a grand comeback, showing up in larger numbers, and of course, the ever-popular black fin tunas are here—not huge, but ideal for the table. In a rare surprise, we even hooked a juvenile yellow fin—safely released, but what a thrill! As spring takes off, the bite is only getting better. Had a ball today fishing with Cory, Mark Ben, and the Golden girls. What a trip we caught a real nice mutton snapper a small mahi a big mahi over 20 pounds catch one out of two sale fish couple Bonitas great day Cory thank you so much. Looking forward to fishing again sometime soon

What a ball we had today with Luke and his friends from Canada was a bachelor party. We really wanted to catch a sale first which we did not however we did catch a 30 pound king Fish 35 pound king Fish a nice big black fan Tuna and a medium size black Fin tuna guys thanks again. It was an absolute blast fishing with you guys. Hope to see you again sometime soon.
