Captain Luke has fished the waters around Mount Desert Island since he got his first skiff at 5 years old. As the son of a lobsterman, he grew up on a small island off the coast of Maine that can only be accessed by boat. He has fished the waters from Maine to Florida: 'I have fished my whole life, from lobsters to Giant Tunas and everything in between. The ocean is where I feel most at home'.

    Vi havde en fantastisk tur med kaptajn Luke! Fangede masser af torsk og sej hele tiden. Båden var rummelig og utrolig ren/velvedligeholdt. Luke var opmærksom, ekstremt vidende og mere end generøs. Det var en fornøjelse, og vi håber allerede på at tage en endnu længere tur med ham næste sæson. Kan varmt anbefales!

    4 Timers Tur – Fiskeri & Hummer Kombi - 12:00 PM • 6 voksne

    Sikke en fantastisk dag med fiskeri og sightseeing for hele vores familie. Kaptajn Luke lyttede til, hvad vi gerne ville, og formåede at få det hele med. Sælsafari og øudforskning for min kone og et par timers fiskeri for børnene og mig. Selvom vi ikke fangede nogen kæmper, som vi håbede på, fangede vi en stor variation af fisk, og nogle havde vi aldrig set før. Jeg kan varmt anbefale Kaptajn Luke til alle, der er interesserede i at komme ud på vandet ved Acadia.

    Vi booker et fiskeri charter på næsten hver eneste tur, vi tager. I de 25+ år, vi har taget på fisketure, er dette uden tvivl en af de bedste. Båden var komfortabel, havde alt, hvad vi havde brug for, og kaptajnen sørgede for vand og snacks. Det bedste ved denne tur var Luke, kaptajnen. Han er vidende, venlig og gik ud af sin vej for at sikre, at vi fik gjort så meget (eller så lidt), som vi ønskede under vores tur. Billederne er af vores aftensmad, som vi lavede, så snart vi kom hjem.

    Et Fantastisk 8-Timers Fiskeeventyr — Masser af Fisk

    Heldagstur – Dybhavsfiskeri • 4 voksne

    Sikke en fantastisk fisketur! Vi tilbragte otte timer ude på vandet og havde en fantastisk oplevelse fra start til slut. Vi fangede masser af sej, torsk, brosme, makrel, Acadisk rødfisk og endda en blæksprutte! Kaptajnen var fantastisk – meget opmærksom gennem hele turen og tjekkede altid ind hos os, hjalp til og sørgede for, at vi var der, hvor fisken var, og fik noget på krogen. Vi gik bestemt ikke hjem skuffede!

    Caught a 6’ Nurse Shark today!

    What a treasure to find Capt Luke and his boat nearby our hotel wirh plenty if parking. i had mistakenly booked the wrong date but Luke fixed it. Great communication back and forth while we watched the windy conditions we had forcasted. Comfortable boat handled the waves very well. I highly recommend using Capt Luke for your fishing charters, very reasonable and capable. My 25 year old son is an avid fisherman and was thrilled to catch a 6’ nurse shark, along with numerous other fish. We’ll be back! 🐟😎 Paula and Max

The tuna and mahi bite was really good on this short trip, i haven't been getting out very much due to the weather, but we bailed through some for a couple of hours and had nearly nonstop action one we got on the fish. This weeks weather looks pretty good after Tuesday so let's get out and catch some fish!

The wind has held us in for most of the week, but next week looks incredible. Mahi are around and the king mackerel bite has been great and since nice yellowtails on the reef with some other variety coming in.

Patch reef fishing is good

It has been breezy, but we have been able to get out on some of the inner reefs. The 13-14 inch yellowtail bite is good with some other fish mixed in. The weather this coming week is looking better and I'm expecting to see some good mahi/dolphin fishing on the troll.

As nice as it usually is in the keys, we have had a year of the cold for the past couple of weeks which has thrown this fishing off. BUT, the weather is getting better and the fish are biting again! The wahoo bite had been pretty good, the tuna bite was great today and we even picked up this nice 30lb African pompano. The patch reefs seem to be coming back to life and I expect them to continue to get better. The wind forecast for the foreseeable future is good and it is a great time to book a trip!

Florida Keys Fishing at it's Best

Yesterday was a great day on the water. The fish were biting, the weather was beautiful! It was a perfect day for trolling. Wahoo are biting and it's always a fun fight! We caught a couple wahoo, some mahi and blackfin as well.
