Meet Roy, a dedicated fishing guide with over 20 years of experience in New Zealand. Since his arrival in 2003, he has been captivated by the stunning landscapes and abundant marine life that surround these beautiful islands. A passionate lure fishing enthusiast, Roy has had the privilege of collaborating with some of the industry's leading lure manufacturers both locally and internationally. His commitment to mastering the art of fishing drives him to constantly improve his skills and broaden his understanding of different fish species, particularly those that can be targeted using light gear. Among the many reasons he chose to make New Zealand his home is the challenge presented by the mighty kingfish, a species known for pushing anglers to their limits. With various methods for catching, as well as promoting ethical catch-and-release practices, skipper Roy is here to share his wealth of knowledge and love for fishing with you.

Heldagstur Offshore • 2 voksneI had the absolute pleasure of fishing an 8 hour charter with Fish n Dips. Skipper Roy is an absolute beauty! I had never tried stick baiting before. Roy taught me how to cast, work the stick bait and after a couple hours of honing my skills i was able to catch a 35-40lb Kingfish completely on my own. Roy netted it of course! If I ever get back to Auckland, Roy and I will fish again! Amazing day!

Captain Roy is fishing here for a long time and he knows exactly where you have to go, depending on the weather, the stream and water temperature. He is very patient and provides you with all the tuition you need to have a good fishing day, even with the music you might have on board ! We had great fun with him.

Som om det kom ud af det blå, begynder fiskeriet for alvor i oktober i Auckland. Fiskene gyder og fouragerer aggressivt, med Kingfish der kommer op fra bunden for at jage jigs, poppers og stickbaits på vandoverfladen. Væbnerfisk-fiskeriet er så godt, som det kan blive.
