I started my fishing career in 1997 at the Baranof Wilderness Lodge in Alaska at age 12. I began as a deckhand and eventually got my captain's license at age 18. Since then I've been running guided trips, making 2017 my 20th year in this field. Southwestern Oregon's river systems have so much to offer, I decided to start Indigenous Adventures in 2013. I enjoy sharing Oregon's beautiful rivers and my knowledge of the wide variety of fishing techniques with all of my clients.

    Successful late Fall Chinook fishing

    Cooper is a very knowledgeable guide who put me on the tail end of the late Fall Chinook run. In spite of this, we were still able to find some healthy fish with some chrome to them and they fought harder than any salmon I've ever caught. I definitely look forward to fishing with Cooper for future trips.

    Captain Hedgecock spends every moment afloat in a constant effort to hook you up! I would recommend a trip with "Cap'n Coop" to anyone, anywhere, anytime. He is a down-to-earth experienced guide. He makes fishing more than just fishing, a day of fun awaits you for sure!

    Great trip! Cooper is now my future choice for another trip, very good , we caught fish when others did not, you will not do better than Indigenous
