I started fishing in the Gulfstream during the late 70's as a recreational angler on vacations. I turned it into a career shortly after graduating High School when I moved to Hatteras, NC and started fishing full time. After working as a mate for 9 seasons I had the oppurtunity to start running a boat in 1996. It's still as fun and exciting as it was back in the early days. It's the challenge of adapting to different techniques and an ever changing fishing environment that keep this fresh and enjoyable. The memories that are made with seasoned as well as first time anglers, and especially kids, are as important as the fish that are caught.

11 Timers Tur – Gulfstream Eventyr • 6 voksneMy family and I visited OBX for vacation and a deep sea fishing trip was a bucket list item for most of us. Needless to say, we were blown away by the experience. We went on the 11 hour Gulfstream adventure fishing charter with Captain Tom and first mate Hunter. These two were awesome! Captain Tom knew exactly where to put us and Hunter was a mad man on the poles. We were able to catch amber jack, mahi-mahi in a variety of sizes from 5 pounds to the large 30 pounders, and at the end of the day we caught the trophy we came for, a massive marlin. This was one of the best experiences my family and I could have asked for. I would totally recommend Longer Days Sportfishing charter to anyone looking for a great experience and some awesome fishing.

11 Timers Tur – Gulfstream Eventyr • 6 voksneTom and Hunter were awesome. Tom was able to put us on the fish and keep us on them all day. Hunter was great and has an awesome sense of humor. He kept things light all day and never stopped running around trying to get a fish to bite for us. At the end of the day we had a great haul of fish and a trip to remember.

11 Timers Tur – Vinterfiskeri efter Tun • 2 voksneCaptain Tom and mate Hunter were excellent! We had to schedule with Longer Days last minute as our original charter had to cancel due to weather. So we moved a few days and these guys were so eager to work with us. We targeted blue fins, but the bite just wasn't happening. Instead we caught a mix of blackfin, albacore, and king mackerel. All were a ton of fun to real in. Even with some serious sea sickness, the guys were patient with us and let us recover and kept on the fish. 10 out of 10 would do it again.

It was a rougher ride out than expected, but luckily we didn’t have far to go. Found a nice change and weedline about 16 miles off the beach. Got a couple Dolphin bites as soon as we slowed down and put baits out. The wind died out a little for a couple hours and we fished that changed for 10 miles down the beach picking at Dolphin as we went. Didn’t hear much activity anywhere else so we stayed on it. The seas didn’t help at times and a lot of fish pulled hooks and we weren’t able to get them going by bailing, but Jimmie and his crew hung tough and put a few dozen in the box. Caught a small Sailfish along the way, but we weren’t able to get pictures before it came off on the leader.

The Blackfins bit for a little while in the morning. A real pretty weedline formed up by the afternoon and we were able to add a 45lb Wahoo and a handful of Dolphins to the box.

We were able to pick at the Tunas for a few hours in
the morning. The bite dropped off around Noon for us
so we went up in the shallows hoping for a Wahoo, unfortunately that wasn’t in the cards for us.

The Tunas werent cooperating so we went to the bottom, with baits and lead if course. Found a nice class of Triggerfish and Vermillion Snapper, and one noce sized Greater Amberjack.
