I grew up in Nashville, TN, before it was cool. As a small kid, we fished every pond and creek within 20 miles of my house, often by horseback. Certainly, it was different times, but my passion for finding fish never changed. Then it was Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Rainbow and Brown Trout, along with Crappie and Catfish. As a teenager, I fished on a boat called Honey Chile in Sarasota/Longboat Key, FL. It was there I learned the pursuit of 'big fish.' I knew then when I was old enough, I'd be heading to FL to live and fish. I always wanted to be a professional fisherman and, in the mid 90's began tournament fishing for Kingfish. The adventure took on a life of its own, and by 2012 I started hosting the Southern Sportsman Radio Show in Flagler County and did so for 8 years. Fishing and being a guide is my life, and the real reason I do it, and love it, is to be a special part of other people's memories with family and friends.

    Jeg bestilte en last minute fisketur, og Kaptajn Chris var mere end villig til at acceptere vores last minute booking. Vi tilbragte en fantastisk dag på vandet og fangede mange og en bred vifte af fisk. Han arbejdede hårdt for at give os en uforglemmelig oplevelse. Tak, Kaptajn Chris!

    we had a great tome on the trip. got loads of scallops, had loads of fun and since we have a big group we were happy yhat the boat was big enough for 8!! Thanks for making oir annual trip memorable!

    Fantastisk tur med kaptajn Chris! Ladyfish hoppede ud af vandet, pompano, fårehovedhavrude, malle, hestemakrel, vi fangede endda en krabbe. Jeg er sikker på, at jeg glemmer en art eller to. Kan varmt anbefale Chris. To tommelfingre op.

Limits of scallops are being caught in the Hatch! I have some dates available and week days are best with the kids back in school. Just sayin' Sundays trip was another banner harvest.

Special Days

The day was hot the fishing was not. So what's so special? I had to honor of taking 2 brothers out. One is still recovering from a stroke. We had good conversation and laughs while enjoying the experience of watching this man catch the biggest fish of his life. That friends and neighbors is what it's all about!

Scalloping Crystal River

Scallop season is in full swing Crystal River and Steinhatchee FL. To me it's more about the time with family and friends than the catch. ( Not that loading the cooler isn't the goal) Took Logan and family out in Crystal River for a first time scallop trip. Palm Coast fishing raising them right

What a fun day fishing Palm Coast Florida with with little Stella and parents. She was very proud to bait her own hook and wanted to climb in the fishing tower.... that was a no. Ha. The bite died at about 9:30 after some fun lady fish, a few nice mangrove snapper, several short sheepshead and some jacks. Fun morning anyway even though the chew was off.

Family reunion in the Hatch

These guys were the best, caught over 75 fish out of Steinhatchee Florida despite 89 degree water. Yes many short trout. Hey it's summer. The bite was strong early with a couple big trout and some solid sea bass for the skillet. The sharks gave us some fun drag rippin fights too.

Fathers Day outing

I had such fun taking these folks out. This gal caught her first fish on artificial and was very surprised. Palm Coast fishing in Florida is a mixed bag of cooler fish and fun fish. Today we had a bag of Mangrove snapper. sea trout, black drum. sheep head , and chased a few tarpon to no avail . I think the fish tacos will be delicious .
