I started fishing at an early age, and started taking the sport seriously in my early 20's. Since then, I have spent all my free time on the water running my own boat, or fishing with others who enjoy the sport. I have spent considerable time studying and learning from established veteran fisherman on what techniques to use, and how to run a boat. I like to involve the crew if they like while on board, and I enjoy showing our clients how and why we use various methods to catch fish. We put an emphasis on making sure you will have a fun time while aboard our boat the 'Double Down'!

    tog på en heldagstur og alle mine sønner og mit barnebarn fik at mærke, hvordan det føles at fange store fisk, da vi fik bid på omkring 5 eller 6 store hajer - fik dem op til båden og slap dem fri igen, det var en fantastisk oplevelse - hver krone værd, og vi ville sagtens bruge dem igen. kaptajnen prøvede alt, hvad han kunne for at få bid på en stor tun, men fisken bed bare ikke den dag

    Over the past week we have had multiple trips all foe giant bluefin tuna and gbe action has been exceptionally consistent. We have had multiple hook ups with several giants ranging from 250 to over 500 lbs with some sharks thrown in the mix. We still have some dates available in August but early September is filling up which is prime time!

    Capt. Jesse had a charter this morning and ran out to the nearshore giant bluefin grounds and bagged this 86” giant bluefin! The charter group wanted to catch something big so Capt. made made it happen. Afrer pushing off at 5:30 AM Capt. Jesse headed over to Block Island, everyone grabbed a rod and helped hook live mackerel for bait. After loading the live well Jesse headed toward the area where the bite has been hot. Within 3 min of putting the first line out the rod goes off and 45 min later after everyone had a chance to reel, the fish was harpooned and landed! It doesnt get any better than this!

    Mine voksne børn og jeg havde en fantastisk dag på vandet (heldags kystnær tur) med Brett og Ethan (17/7/25). De arbejder godt sammen og holder en professionel men afslappet stemning. Vi fik fat i nogle stribede bars lige fra starten – 2 beholdte! Vi tog en tur ud til Montauk Point – de stribede bars var ikke særlig samarbejdsvillige derude, men pighajene holdt os beskæftigede. Vinden tog lidt til, så vi tog tilbage mod Fisher's Island. Bundfiskeriet der var lidt langsommere, men hey, stadig meget bedre end at være på arbejde! Antallet som jeg husker det: Stribet bars-2 Blåbars-1 Pighaj-3 Hvarre-2 Sørokke-1

    We have had good fortune of having incredible bluefin tuna bite relatively close to home. Plenty of action with 36” to 65” bluefin tuna being caught with the occasional yellowfin mixed in. We will be running offshore trips until late october, weather permitting!

We’ve had multiple fish in the 400-500 lb range and tbe largest being 101” weigning in at 485 lbs gutted! September quota is open and we will be running trips for these beast for the first 3 weeks of September as the early fall bite is hot!

    We have had a busy month of august with plenty of giant blufin landed and large yellowfin tuna. We have a few openings in september for giant bluefin left. If you see a date thats not available and you would like to go give us a call.

We ran a full day offshore giant tuna charter yesterday snd treated our customers to a great experience. We had whales, feeding around the boat plenty of life all around. We missed a run off early in the day but got our second chance shortly after lunch when our down rod went off. We had the fish in the line for about 45 min before losing it 15 feet from the boat. Thats fishing as they say. The opprotunity to get to experience a battle with a giant tuna is happening now!
