June 2026

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to book a Gulf fishing trip, this is it. September is one of those rare months when the seasons line up and give us a shot at an incredible mix of reef fish on the same trip: ? Greater Amberjack — open through October 13 ? Gag Grouper — open through September 30 ? Gray Triggerfish — open ? Red Snapper — federal charter season runs through October 25 ? Vermilion Snapper (Mingos) — always fun for filling the box That makes September a pretty special window. We can head offshore with several of the Gulf’s most sought-after reef fish all on the menu at once — and some of those seasons won’t overlap again this year. Even better? The summer crowds are thinning out, the Gulf is still warm, and we're getting into some of the best weather of the year. ⚓ Private offshore charters from Fort Morgan ? Up to 23 people ☀️ Great fall weather + fewer crowds ? One of the best mixes of open seasons we’ll see all year

September is bringing an awesome lineup of fish, with Amberjack season opening September 1, along with Red Snapper, Triggerfish, Mingos, and plenty of opportunities to put some fish in the box. We'll also be keeping an eye out for some great trolling action while we're offshore. Whether you're looking for a family fishing trip, a guys' weekend, or just want to spend your holiday on the Gulf, Labor Day weekend is a great time to get on the water. Red Snapper Amberjack Triggerfish Vermilion Snapper Reef Fish Trolling/Pelagics The long weekend won't last forever — but the fishing memories will. Book your Labor Day weekend trip with KOKA Charters and let's go fishing!

The trolling bite is heating up right along with the weather. Saturday’s crew had a good day, picking up some nice trolling fish along with plenty of red snapper. August has definitely brought the heat, but the fishing hasn’t slowed down with it. We’ll take the fish, the A/C, and whatever breeze we can get. A few good ones from Saturday aboard No Doubt!
