Fall weather is here, and it was an awesome day to be back on the water!
The nice thing about the islands area is that regardless of a strong NE wind, we can almost always find a protected spot and still catch fish. I had the pleasure today of taking Oen and his dad, Paul, out this afternoon. The fishing was like a coaster ride in reverse. It was down, then UP! Spot #2 was quite a fire drill starting out. After a slowdown, Oen got us back on track by picking out a Purple Flicker Minnow, which then landed perhaps the biggest fish of the trip. We ran Flicker Minnows 10-45’ back behind our boards today. Beautiful sunset tonight to end the trip.
