Two Species Build This Cabo Fishing Morning Into a Strong Report
The July 23 catch was evenly interesting even if it wasn't evenly divided.
Two tuna brought strength and sustained pulling power to the morning. Three dorado added speed, color and more visible surface action.
For a 12-person group, having two species involved also gave the charter greater variety.
Rather than repeating the same style of fight throughout the morning, the anglers experienced two different sides of Cabo's warm-water offshore fishery.
Tuna Bring Power to This Cabo Yacht Charter
Tuna are designed for speed and endurance.
Once hooked, they often use that strength below the surface rather than spending the fight in the air. Anglers can find themselves maintaining steady pressure while the fish uses its body and tail to resist the climb toward the boat.
Two tuna were recorded during Jose's charter.
Those fish provided the heavier fights of the morning and represented one half of the two-species result.
Three Dorado Add Color to This Cabo Charter Fishing Day
The three dorado offered a different experience.
Dorado are among the most recognizable gamefish in Cabo because of their brilliant yellow, green and blue coloration. Their speed and tendency to fight close to the surface also make them exciting for everyone aboard.
That matters with a group of 12.
Even guests who are not fighting the fish can often see the action develop.
Three dorado brought the charter total to five gamefish.
The Dredge Supports This Cabo Yacht Fishing Presentation
Captain Luis incorporated the dredge into the offshore program.
A dredge is designed to imitate a concentrated school of baitfish moving beneath and behind the boat. The goal is to create a larger visual attraction that encourages predatory fish to investigate the spread.
It works as part of the overall presentation rather than as a guarantee of catching fish.
During this five-hour charter, the program ultimately produced both tuna and dorado.
Twelve Guests Make This Cabo Charter a Group Fishing Experience
Jose's charter was one of the larger group trips aboard Blue Sky.
Twelve guests remained together on the 43' Riviera for the full morning.
That creates a very different atmosphere from fishing with only two or three people. Every strike becomes a group event, with friends watching the fight, following the crew and sharing the result.
The private charter format allowed the group to experience the day together.
Five Hours Demand Efficient Cabo Fishing From the Yacht
A five-hour charter requires disciplined use of time.
Captain Luis could not simply continue running offshore indefinitely in search of different water. The 11:00 AM return meant every outbound mile also had to be considered in relation to the return trip.
That makes the relationship between travel time and productive fishing time especially important.
On July 23, the balance worked.
Five hours produced five gamefish.
July Conditions Complete This Cabo Yacht Fishing Report
Historical conditions around July 23 place offshore water near 80°F, consistent with Cabo's summer warm-water period.
Morning air temperatures were in the low 80s, increasing as the morning progressed. The moon remained in its waxing crescent phase.
Environmental conditions help place the charter within the seasonal record, but the catch itself provides the most meaningful evidence.
Jose's group left F Dock at 6:00 AM, fished with Captain Luis for five hours and returned with two tuna and three dorado.

Jose's July 23 trip adds another useful real-world result to the historical Cabo fishing record.
This was not an all-day charter. Captain Luis had five hours with 12 guests aboard Blue Sky and still produced opportunities across two offshore species.
Two tuna provided powerful fights, three dorado brought additional
