February **hidden content** Mako Shark and 1 Dorado – Cabo Fishing Report
A mako shark, a beautiful dorado, and seven family members enjoying the Pacific Ocean made February 20, 2024, a memorable day aboard the 43-foot Riviera Blue Sky.
Tyler, Deidre, Randy, Melissa, Carson, Kira, and Miah from Fargo, North Dakota, joined Captain Luis for a private fishing adventure with Blue Sky Cabo Fishing Charters.
Originally booked for five hours, the charter was extended to seven, giving everyone additional time to enjoy the ocean and pursue exciting game fish.
Cabo Fishing Charter – Meet Tyler and His Family
Tyler, Deidre, Melissa, Randy, Kira, Carson, and Miah were enjoying a family fishing vacation in Cabo San Lucas.
The group included Carson, 21, Kira, 20, and Miah, 14, making this a wonderful opportunity for different generations to share an offshore adventure.
Captain Luis welcomed everyone aboard at F Dock in IGY Marina for their scheduled 6:00 AM departure.
Tyler had also arranged the tournament dredge, a specialized Fish Attraction Device designed to imitate schooling baitfish and attract offshore predators.
Cabo Sportfishing Catch – Dorado and Mako Shark
The day's catch featured two very different species.
The dorado delivered the bright colors and energetic fighting action that make these fish favorites among visiting anglers.
The mako shark provided an entirely different encounter. Known for remarkable speed and strength, makos are powerful Pacific predators that require careful handling by experienced fishing crews.
For this family group, catching both species created an unusual combination of offshore experiences.
The additional two charter hours provided more flexibility to enjoy the fishing adventure before returning to the marina.
