As spring approaches, the waters start to warm up, which means that the waters of the Halifax are bustling with favorites such as Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, and even the hard-fighting Snook.

The inshore bite remains strong in the river, with huge Reds, Spotted Seatrout, and tasty Flounder all making their presence known. Head to Ponce Inlet and you’ll encounter Shark species and feisty Barracuda.

May

This is the time to cast your line for huge Spotted Seatrout. You’ll find them in the river’s inshore waters, joined by Redfish and Flounder. If you’re after a Shark battle, you’ll find plenty on offer around Ponce Inlet.

As the water heats up, so does the Spotted Seatrout bite! Explore the river's marshy mangroves for your best bet of landing this fish. Flounder and Redfish are also on offer, as well as hard-fighting Tarpon and Snook.

Spending a day on the water is the perfect way to beat the heat! Adventure out to Ponce Inlet, and you’ll be able to cast your line for Shark species. Spotted Seatrout are also plentiful inshore.

August

This is the perfect month to “bow to the King”! You’ll be able to battle hard-fighting Tarpon along the Halifax River. Why not test your skills against some feisty Snook, too?

September

Snook fishing remains on fire in September, making this the perfect time to come and battle a few of these hard-fighters. Tarpon are migrating, so you may find a Silver King or two on the end of your line!

October

King Mackerel can be hooked around Ponce Inlet, and you may end up coming up against with some Shark species, too. The first Bull Redfish start to appear in the murky, marshy waters of the river, as well.

November

November tends to mean one thing when it comes to Floridian fishing: Bull Redfish! You’ll find the river swarming with some impressively-sized species, so come cast your line for a trophy.

December

End the year in the right way and explore the river for some world-famous fish. You'll find a whole host of King Mackerel on offer near Ponce Inlet, while, further up the river, you can find plenty of feisty Snook.

This was a great day with Todd on his boat. He knew the spots to go to and fish were caught in all of those places. He is quick to get your hook set up with more bait so you can get your line back into the water. Highly recommended. We will certainly call him again when we are back in the area.
