Fishing in Mississippi

Half day trips are a great option for families and will let you get a taste of inshore fishing. Deep sea trips require at least 8 hours as you’ll need time to reach the offshore fishing grounds.

We had so much fun. The Captain and 1st Mate were awesome. They both knew so much about the area and where to find the fish. We caught Red's, sharks, Snapper, Trout, black drum and a stingray. Captain Evan was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable, explained what we caught (spotted trout, white trout, catfish and about 4 other types), told us history of the area we were fishing and as a bonus gave great recommendations for places to eat around the area. We also saw dolphins and Captain Even took time to stop for us to watch them. Highly recommended Captain Evan and Frayed Knot Charters!!

Scott was raised in the area, so knows the location well. He is pleasant to talk with and his knowledge of the area's history is quite fun to hear. He was very attentive to making sure your hook was kept baited, so you were fishing the entire trip. Most amazingly for a fisherman, I didn't hear a single curse from the man. You do need to read his messages carefully. I didn't and hadn't realized he only accepts cash until the night before we left. Well worth the charter.
