El Capitán Jerry Vrbanovic es un Capitán Patrón de 100 toneladas certificado por la Guardia Costera de los Estados Unidos. Su padre era pescador comercial, y Jerry creció admirando el trabajo de su padre y ayudándole cada vez que su barco regresaba al Muelle de Pescadores de San Pedro.

Cuando tenía doce años comenzó a trabajar como grumete en el barco de pesca deportiva Monte Carlo dirigido por Paul Strasser de Independence Sport Fishing de San Diego. Pronto ascendió a marinero de cubierta, y fue desde esta posición que Jerry aprendió el arte del servicio excepcional al cliente.
Además, la experiencia de Jerry trabajando bajo capitanes talentosos le enseñó la importancia de la seguridad y el mantenimiento del barco. Continuó pescando en su tiempo libre e hizo muchos viajes a la Isla Catalina y México.
Le encantaba traer a casa bolsas de Atún, Lubina, Jurel y Rockfish capturados en estado salvaje. Él y su padre a menudo preparaban platos tradicionales croatas, ya que a ambos les encanta cocinar y alimentar a otros.
Jerry tenía sueños de dirigir su propio negocio de pesca deportiva en el Golfo de México y decidió hacer de Sarasota su hogar. Su objetivo es mostrar a sus clientes un gran día de pesca. ¡Le encanta enviar a la gente a casa con pescado perfectamente fileteado listo para ser cocinado y devorado!

We were originally planning to head out to fish the reef but the water wasnt going to cooperate with that. So, we stayed inland and the Captain found us some nice spots to fish. we reeled in some mangrove snapper, crevalle jack, and even a small flounder that we had to release. Stickney Point bridge was a bit of a bust - but the Captain made sure the boys got to fight a few last fish before we headed in for the day. We’ll definitely head out on another charter (hopefully to deeper waters) and when we do, the only Captain we are calling is Jerry!

A likeable and personable guy who made me feel welcome, felt more lile i was hanging out fishing with a buddy as opposed to a stranger i just met. Needless to say he found the fish and we caught a plethora of different species at various locations throughout the day A wonderful experience was had and i would not hesitate and plan on booking another charter in the future

If anyone has a chance to book a trip for fishing, it would be best to see if Wild Catch Fishing Charters because he will make sure you have a great experience and catch plenty of fish! He is a family man and you dont have to do anyting except keep reeling in the fish!!!

Waves were a bit rough and he found a great spot where we caught a lot of snapper, along with some other species. He recommended a great location that cooks your catch and it was absolutely amazing, putting the final stamp on a great day. I definitely recommend and we will be booking with Wild Catch Fishing Charters again!

Captain Jerry very quickly returned by call, was truly excited we booked, and assured me that we would catch fish, which we did. On a 4 hour afternoon trip, Captain Jerry quickly put us on the fish. We caught 5 Spanish mackerel, 2 large sheepshead, and 6 grunt. Captain Jerry was very engaging and a nice person. I would definitely recommend fishing with Captain Jerry Vrbanovic with Wild Catch Fishing Charters!

Loaded up the boat & headed to a close spot for a few quick catches. Then headed another 7 miles out where everyone in our group each caught multiple fish. Captain Jerry was great about moving to the next spot if the fish werent coming. Very pleased with our excursion. Will be coming back to fish again or for a day charter around Siesta!

We had 3 adults and 3 kids and he was fantastic with everyone, especially the kids. He was patient, helpful, and made sure everyone had a great time. We caught fish and had a lot of fun out on the water. Highly recommend Captain Jerry if you’re looking for a great day fishing!

I booked a fishing trip with Captain Jerry for my son (10) and me during his Spring Break. We had a fantastic time. Capt Jerry communicated great leading up to the trip. He even offered to flex our time because it was going to windy. (We couldn’t due to flights.) Marina is easy to get to and boat is easy to get on. Great time out to get fishing and Capt Jerry knows where to go. Most appreciated is he focused on my fishing fanatic son and helped him catch a bunch of fish. My son wants to go back…so do I. I highly encourage you to book with Capt Jerry.
