What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Barnstable, Massachusetts for the first time?

For a half day charter, we can only go out so far. Our goal is to give our kids the excitement of catching fish. We’re not looking to reel in massive fish and we’re not pros filming a TV show. its perfect for our family with two kids under age 12.

Captain said earlier in the day they were catching fish and having to throw back keepers. When we went out at 4:00 pm there was nothing in the waters few and far between on the fish finder. Something spooked them or they just went to another area. All the other Captains on the radio were reporting similar conditions. Great ride into Cape Cod Bay none the less!

We were fishing as the tide was going out. I don't know if Captain John had a fish magnet on board but we seemed to be pulling in fish from 16" to 46". In a party of 4, we managed to catch 20 fish off of squid jigs. It seemed to be quite the active day, with temperatures in the 80s and very little clouds in the sky.

This was the first fishing trip for some adults and the kids. Everyone had a blast!

Fish were a little spotty and hard to find but when we did they would hook up no problem

Not as much action as we would have liked, but the captain and first mate did everything in their power to make it possible.

check out the local tackle ahops on the cape. lots of friendly staff that are happy to help. the cape has very few fishing piers. a charter is an excellent option.

Fish with Annie Bee and you wont be disappointed. Charming and quaint area. 10/10 perfection out on the water.

Wear quick dry pants and shirt as the fog will get you wet, also bring a jacket even if it is warm on shore. Be prepared to to go home tired from catching fish?

It is perfect for anyone. The captain and boatsmate help you with everything so no worries at all. Just anjoy the water, the sun and have a lot of fun

Bring layers as you would for any normal scenario on the water. It could be warm or cold, especially en route to fishing destinations.

Don’t be afraid the fish for Tuatog. I do a lot of fishing & pound for pound, they are hard fighters & fun to pull in!!

Bring lots of snacks and drinks!!! Wear a hat and sunglasses and bring a hoodie! it gets chilly!

Early morning was good. The bite stopped seemingly for everyone by about 9:30-10
