What anglers said about Hybrid Striped Bass Fishing in Livingston

The best white bass fishing is lower part of the lake south of Hwy 190. Fishing around the old hwy 190 and some of the submerged lakes are good spots. Get a topical map of the lake.

Lake Livingston is a premier destination for white bass. It only takes a short amount of time to limit out. Especially with Captain John Bolton.

Book with these guys, but the Stripers are not there. They are almost all caught out of this lake.

Dress in layers and have a warm coat and gloves if fishing in winter. The wind can make the temps feel quite chilly. Consider bringing a thermos of your favorite hot beverage for an extra treat. Enjoy the scenery. Take pics if the bites slow.

We picked a day based on our personal availability, not based on the optimal time for our targeted fish. Recommend fishing Livingston in May and June for optimal activity.

Book with a quality guide, it makes for a better experience when you go with someone who knows the lake.

Hire a guide and preferably Fishin Addiction or J M Guide service. Otherwise, you wil have a had time locating fish in this large, deep lake. A person could do it yourself and be years learning the lake well enough to be successful.

It’s hot in the summer months. Cover your skin and bring lots of sunscreen and fluids.

I would recommend getting a guide to show you around the lake if you are unfamiliar with the area. There are many submerged dangers that you could run into. Get a brief and be alert while sailing around the lake. Fishing Lake Livingston is good all year round. Be prepared for the heat in August.

Always book a guide service. I use to think it a wasted of money and times. So I spend years myself catching nothing on my boat. Maybe a few here and there and taking picture because it was rare. Until i booked a guide with Jeff from fishinaddictionguideservice.com. I learned so much and can not believe how fun and easy it is to catch fish. Now don't even have time to take picture because when you land on a school of bass. Its none stop action.
