What People Are Saying About King Mackerel (Kingfish) Fishing in South Carolina

"Half day trip"

Julie Howell fished with Southern Saltwater Charters on July 1, 2020

We were celebrating our son’s 11th birthday. Unfortunately, the conditions were not great for catching a lot of fish but he did hook nice size shark that made the entire trip worth it. Captain Perrin made our son feel like he was King for the day. We will definitely be back!!

"Full day trip with Captain Ron and Anson"

Truly enjoyed our experience. Caught King Mackeral, Tuna, Spanish Mackeral, and a whopper of a Barracuda! Thank you guys for the trip of a lifetime. We will definitely be back!

"First time fishing Hilton Head"

James Roland fished with Hilton Head Sport Fishing LLC on June 15, 2020

Our family had a great charter, Captain Stefan was awesome, putting us on the fish and helping us have a great time. We caught a variety of sharks including a nice hammerhead and a big King Mackerel. The Boat was perfect size for the 5 of us and provided an easy platform to fish from.

"Full day with Captain Jon"

Darrell Boone fished with Black Dog Fishing Charters on June 11, 2020

5 of us went and we came back with 7 ( I lost #8) massive King Mackerels. 1 was over 35 lbs. and 2 over 30. We fished for other species as well but they wasn't biting. We had an awesome time. Very knowledgeable about the different species of fish. It's like going out in a buddy's fishing boat.

"Half day with Shay "

Steven Gurley fished with Islands and Tides Charters on June 10, 2020

Shay was awesome. He put us right on the Mackeral when everyone else was still trying to get bait fish. We put 3 Spanish and 1 King in the cooler and then set off to fish for some sharks. We caught lemon, bonnethead, black tip, hammerhead Sharks for the next couple of hours. We had a really enjoyable day with Captain Shay. Would highly recommend.
