If fishing in the morning bring a jacket as it might be a bit cool. Make sure to confirm if your charter boat has a toilet. Ours listed as it did, but did not. Just made sure everyone went before leaving the dockโฆespecially the ladies.

Expect better perch fishing & trophy sized walleye in early spring or in fall.. However, the walleye fishing is usually good the entire season depending on the weather... When the lake has been turbulent from storms it's best to wait for a couple days of stable calm water before heading out to fish.

Get a great captain and first mate like we did! They made it so easy and the fish just kept coming in! How they fished (all the lines and trawling techniques)was as interesting as fishing itself! Of course nothing beats catching the fish and that just happened one after another.
