We had stayed within an inlet of the gulf and were looking for a simple family friendly fishing trip and that is exactly what we got :) I imagine someone who would describe themselves as an "angler" would know what they are looking for, so I, NOT an "angler" and a first time visitor of Orange Beach, would have a difficult time providing any recommendation other than 'book captain Pat!'

We were busy the entire trip. Lots of hits. We missed several opportunities because of the way King Mackerel and Spanish Mackerel hit the bait. We did have a great haul and it was an exciting trip.

Be open to just enjoying the catching. We didnโt end up with any fish we could keep or eat but catching was the fun of it. And releasing it directly to a friendly dolphin was more fun anyway!
