La baie de Chesapeake est réputée pour abriter l'une des espèces les plus recherchées au monde – le Bar rayé ! Si vous êtes un pêcheur passionné qui a toujours rêvé de traquer le Bar rayé, ou si vous souhaitez emmener votre famille dans une aventure passionnante à la découverte de la baie, embarquez avec CB Charters. Le capitaine Charlie Bryan est un pêcheur natif de l'Eastern Shore titulaire d'une licence USCG, et il a hâte de vous faire découvrir ces zones de pêche poissonneuses !

Le capitaine Charlie a commencé sa carrière de pêcheur professionnel très jeune – à 8 ans, il travaillait déjà comme premier lieutenant sur le bateau de son père ! Il a grandi en pêchant dans la baie, on peut donc dire qu'il sait où se trouvent les meilleurs spots pour ferrer des Bar rayés. Le capitaine Charlie propose une variété de sorties de pêche saisonnières adaptées à un large éventail de pêcheurs – quel que soit votre âge ou votre expérience, vous trouverez quelque chose qui vous convient.

Vous naviguerez dans la baie à bord d'un Carman weekender de 40 pieds. Il peut accueillir confortablement jusqu'à 6 personnes, et vous pourrez tous pêcher en même temps – parfait pour les familles ou les groupes de pêcheurs passionnés cherchant à régler leurs comptes ! À bord, vous trouverez des équipements de navigation et de sécurité de premier ordre, notamment un sondeur, un GPS, des toilettes privées et des gilets de sauvetage pour les plus jeunes. Il y a une glacière pour vos prises, et si vous souhaitez apporter des collations, il y a de la place pour votre propre glacière.

Tout tourne autour du Bar rayé en ce qui concerne les espèces disponibles dans la baie, mais vous aurez également la chance de ferrer du Tassergal et du Grand tambour. Votre capitaine vous aidera à essayer diverses techniques pour capturer vos prises, notamment la pêche à la traîne, le lancer, la dandinette et même la pêche de fond. Il fournira également des cannes et moulinets de premier ordre, des appâts et du matériel léger et lourd – essayez le matériel léger si vous voulez une action sérieuse qui plie la canne !

Lorsque vous aurez atteint votre limite de prises, votre capitaine nettoiera et filètera vos poissons sans frais supplémentaires. Charlie was responsive, punctuate and friendly. He knew where all the fish were. My family each brought a large striped bass home, as well as some smaller bottom fish home. We also caught and released additional fish. So much fun and yet so peaceful floating on the water. We would go back to Charlie again!

Half day trip with Captain Charlie

6-7 Hour Trip le June 27, 2023 • 4 adultes • 2 enfants

This was best fishing experience anyone in my group has ever had and my nephew is a long time fisherman. Captain Charlie, and his 1st mate Jeff, anchored the boat and helped bait our lines with live Spot. The six of us cast our lines and the action started immediately.  Felt like the Rockfish were jumping on the boat. It was unbelievable. We caught approximately 30 Rockfish in less than 30 minutes and had to stop once we caught our limit of 12 between 19 and 31 inches. After catching our Rockfish limit we headed to the Chester River where we caught about 60 or more Spot. The day could not have been any better. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone. Thank you Charlie for creating great memories for my family.

Glorious day on the water !

Captain Charlie & his first mate Jeff were on top of things from start to finish. The boat was very clean & stable, plenty of room for everyone. And though we had a slow start to the fish action, Captain Charlie kept at it until we hit gold. The action went from quiet to crazy & when it did, Captain Charlie & his first mate worked like precision, netting landing, measuring the fish, re-baiting so we could get our fishing lines back in the water. They worked their magic around our party of 6 guys ranging in age from the 20s through almost 90years old. They did everything in their power to make it a memorable experience & boy did they ever ! Thank you Captian Charlie & Jeff, we are truly grateful & hope to be back soon !

Half day with Captain Charlie and First Mate Jeff

Both Charlie and Jeff were wonderful hosts from start to finish. We were immediately greeted by Charlie upon arrival at the dock. After a quick but necessary safety briefing, we set out to the first fishing spot. Charlie and Jeff had pre-selected spots that took out the guess work of waiting for the fish come to you. Within the first 30 secs, I had my first bite of striped bass, known as Rock Fish locally. If I recall correctly, we spent about an hour at at least 3-4 spots. The boat itself was well maintained and was maintained by Jeff during the trip as well. The boat also had plenty of bait prepared for the entire trip.

You can tell both Charlie and Jeff are well experienced in fishing the waters in this area. On top of that, the two were very professional, polite, and educational. Neither my wife or I had fished in almost a decade, but Charlie and Jeff were patient us two.

I would absolutely recommend you go with Charlie and Jeff over others. We will be going back to them soon.
