Opérant depuis Willemstad, Curaçao, La Menta Boattrips propose des sorties de pêche encadrées par des professionnels. Si vous souhaitez vivre la meilleure expérience en explorant ces eaux profondes, le capitaine Arnold Aarden et son équipage feront tout pour que cela se réalise. Le Capt. Arnold est un pêcheur passionné qui exerce dans le métier depuis plus de 14 ans.
Vous pêcherez depuis un bateau Pro Marine walkaround de 36' pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 6 pêcheurs. Le bateau dispose de la climatisation, de toilettes, d'une douche d'eau douce, d'une cuisine et d'une tour à thon. Mais ce n'est pas uniquement une question de confort. Cette machine de pêche est propulsée par deux moteurs diesel Yanmar de 440 CV et est équipée de tangons, de downriggers, d'un fauteuil de combat, d'un vivier et de glacières.
Le capitaine vous montrera ses spots préférés où vous pourrez cibler le voilier, le marlin, la coryphène, le barracuda, le wahoo et une incroyable variété de thons (bonite à ventre rayé, thon albacore, thon germon et thon à nageoires noires). Le meilleur, c'est qu'il n'est pas nécessaire de s'éloigner de plus de 100 mètres du rivage car l'eau devient profonde très rapidement. De plus, si vous souhaitez prolonger votre sortie d'une demi-heure, le capitaine se fera un plaisir de rester un peu plus longtemps.
Vous serez équipé de matériel de pêche Penn haut de gamme, de leurres et de licences. Selon la saison, vous pourrez capturer votre propre appât vivant en cours de route – cela est généralement possible pendant les mois d'hiver et d'été.
Le petit-déjeuner est fourni pour les demi-journées, tandis que les sorties à la journée complète comprennent des sandwichs pour le déjeuner. La plongée avec tuba est également proposée lors des sorties à la journée complète, et l'équipement est fourni, mais les enfants ne sont généralement pas recommandés pour les sorties plus longues.
Le bateau garde normalement les prises, mais vous recevrez une portion pour un bon dîner, et l'équipage la nettoiera et la filètera pour vous. Le capitaine peut même vous recommander un excellent restaurant où vous pourrez faire préparer votre prise pour quelques dollars.

slow day, but worked hard

It was a slow day on the water, but Wendel and Robert work hard to try finding fish by using multiple techniques and trying different water depths. We did catch a couple Skipjack. Wendel offered us the fish. we said we would take one and tgey could have the other. Wendel then made us reservations at a resturant, where he would be dropping off our fish, for us to have gor lunch tomorrow.
I recommend them if your wanting to get on the water to fish while in Curacao.

Captain Wendel and his crew were fantastic. Courteous and accommodating for everything we needed. We were more interested in eating some fish than catching trophies. Captain put us on several spots and helped us catch multiple fish including Mahi, Grouper, and Tuna. It was a very good day of fishing.

We had an exceptional experience with La Menta Boattrips! The organization, charisma, and determination of the crew to provide a memorable fishing trip were remarkable. Despite the unusual and challenging weather conditions for June, which limited our techniques to trolling, the team went above and beyond to take us to the best spots, ensuring our safety in rough seas. At the end, they even prepared the fillet of the Wahoo we caught, allowing us to enjoy a delicious sashimi and grilled fish at our hotel. A fantastic experience, both on and off the boat!
The entire crew was extremely courteous and professional. Captain Wendel demonstrated deep knowledge and adaptability, reformulating the fishing plan in response to sudden weather changes, which proved highly effective. Additionally, they generously shared fishing insights and the best on-shore fishing spots in Curaçao - and even gave me a Mini LED Fishing Light!!
Boat and Equipment:
The boat is in excellent condition, with impeccable maintenance. After each catch, the crew promptly cleaned the deck, keeping everything organized. The fishing equipment is varied and of high quality, including a wide range of artificial and natural baits.
Although the weather conditions limited our catches, we managed to hook a 14 kg Wahoo, which made our day and provided a delightful meal!

We had a great fishing trip with a lot of fun. The crew was very friendly and funny. They gave us a lot of information about the different techniques and answered all our questions. At the end of the trip they prepared a tasty sashimi.
They also gave us good tips how to prepare the different types of fish.
We would definitely go again.

A Tuna and A Good Time

We booked the 1/2 day trip for three people. The crew arrived on time and were incredible. We started trolling almost as soon as we left the dock, but sadly the fish were not biting... Except for one black fin tuna pulled in by my youngest. It was frustrating seeing the Mahi in the water, but being unable to lure them to bite. All in all, it was a great day. The boat was fantastic, the crew was attentive.
