Vivez une véritable expérience de pêche costaricienne avec Guanacaste Adventure Tours. Laissez derrière vous la plage bondée de Playa Hermosa et dirigez-vous vers les eaux cristallines à bord d'un bateau de pêche traditionnel avec un guide local.

Les capitaines Jose et Eduardo sont nés et ont grandi sur la péninsule de Papagayo et pêchent ici depuis la majeure partie de leur vie d'adulte. Pêcheurs passionnés et citoyens de la région, ils promettent de vous montrer les points forts de la région, avec de nombreux conseils locaux.

Montez à bord du bateau à console centrale de 30 pieds fabriqué localement et c'est parti. Jusqu'à 8 invités sont les bienvenus à bord pour se sentir comme chez eux, profitant de la brise fraîche du Pacifique tout en se rafraîchissant du soleil brûlant. Plongez dans l'eau et utilisez l'équipement de plongée avec tuba pour découvrir les richesses sous la mer pour une expérience complète. Assurez-vous simplement d'apporter une serviette pour vous sécher.

Vous trouverez une glacière remplie de boissons à bord, vous resterez donc rafraîchi toute la journée, et vous pourrez même prendre une bière pour profiter au maximum de votre sortie. Avec des toilettes privées à bord, vous n'aurez aucun souci de vous retrouver pris au dépourvu !

Préparez-vous pour une journée productive sur ces eaux riches en ciblant des favoris mondiaux et des spécialités locales. Pêchez de fond sur les récifs proche du large pour de magnifiques Coq de mer et de délicieux Vivaneau, tandis qu'au large vous pêcherez à la traîne pour des Coryphène monstres et de savoureux Thon. Ces poissons vous feront tous travailler pour vos prises, alors venez préparé pour un entraînement intense.

À la fin de la journée, l'équipage nettoiera et filètera vos prises, afin que vous puissiez profiter des fruits de votre travail dans un restaurant en bord de mer. Tuna! Tuna! and MORE Tuna!

Half Day Trip le March 11, 2026 • 6 adultes • 2 enfants

We had a great day on the water with our party of 8!! We did the half day trip where Jose greeted us right on the beach near our resort.  The water was a little dangerous in that area so we were shuttled to safer point where we could jump on.  We were greeted by our Captain and fishing expert as they were our guides for the tour as well as a cooler full of drinks and fruit!  We took about 30 min ride out in the ocean and starting casting right away.  The wind had other plans as it was SO choppy and a lot of us started to get sick (I am not a sea sick person and I was even nauseous).  Nothing anyone could do about that but the crew realized what was happening and quickly took us to a flatter location.  No luck catching anything at this point but we had a wonderful ride around the area and got to see some monkeys, dolphins, and iguana as well as some HUGE houses and resorts.  Very lovely area.  Then we went back out to try again.  The tuna were EVERY WHERE!!! I think we caught like 12 in the span of an hour which was really cool for our whole party but especially our 4 boys.  The crew got them fileted and sliced up for us to take home at the end.  We had a great time and would likely recommend Jose and his very professional crew!

Friendly crew, amazing ceviche, great trip!

We were picked up on the beach at our hotel right on time and started fishing within a few minutes. A great experience with a friendly crew, perfect for what we wanted! Not the best trip for anyone looking to get real serious fishing done (mostly due to boat configuration), but perfect for a nice day on the water with good conversation and great food. Our crew made fresh ceviche from some of the tuna we caught... And let me tell you... It was probably the best ceviche we've ever had! Can't thank the crew enough! The boat was spotless, the drinks provided were ice cold, and we were able to take home some fresh tuna which was prepared at Roberto's which we would also highly recommend! Captain Jose was able to help us make the reservations and took care of all the details! Would definitely book again!

The best!

Jose picked us (my wife, my twin 13 yr old boys, and myself) up from our hotel and brought us to the boat. Eduardo and Miller took us out for a half day trip. The whole experience was outstanding! We have taken fishing trips in the Keys, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and Tampa and this was by far the best. Within 30 mins of getting on the boat, Eduardo and Miller had us on the fish. We all caught black fin tuna and to top it off, the crew hooked an 80 lb rooster fish that I fought for 25 mins before we got it in the boat. We grabbed a bunch of pics with it and then we released it. That was all within the first 3 hours! We spent the last hour snorkeling on a quiet beach where we saw all kinds of reef fish and a turtle! The crew filleted the tuna for us and we ate it that night. It was a perfect trip and I cannot recommend them enough. Book your trip with them, you will not be disappointed.

Costa Rica’s Dream Catch - The Rooster

We had a great experience with Captain Eduardo and first mate Miller. From the moment we booked to the end of the fishing trip everyone involved was attentive and professional. 

When we boarded the boat we expressed our desire to catch tuna and the elusive Rooster fish. Our daughter loves tuna and she was dead set on catching one. Eduardo and Miller knew exactly where to take us to get her first catch. She loved the experience of reeling in her first Yellowfin. 

We were nearing the end of the charter and had enough time for one last try for the Rooster. After finding a massive bait school we landed a trophy Rooster to cap the day off. Great trip!

It was an amazing family friendly fishing trip with attentive and laid back captain and first mate. Well definitely book them again the next time we come.

I couldn’t be happier with our experience with Guanacaste Adventure Tours

I booked with Jose based on the outstanding reviews on Fishbooker, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience with Guanacaste Adventure Tours.

The fishing was excellent — my kids landed tuna, big jacks, and a mahi-mahi. Beyond the fishing, we saw whales, dolphins, sea turtles, and had an all-around epic day on the water. Cold drinks, fresh fruit, and a relaxed but professional crew made it even better.

We also booked a sunset boat tour with snorkeling, and Jose went above and beyond by remembering that it was my son’s birthday. He surprised him with a birthday cake on the boat, which made the day truly unforgettable.

I can’t recommend Guanacaste Adventure Tours enough. Jose’s crew is top-notch and worked incredibly hard to find fish, and his customer service is the best I’ve experienced anywhere.

Jose also offers many tours beyond fishing. We just returned from a crocodile river tour, and he made sure we were the first boat on the river, which meant incredible wildlife sightings. His extensive knowledge made the experience even more rewarding.

If you’re considering a fishing trip or  tour in the area, book with Jose — you won’t regret it.

The best!
