If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable angling adventure, head to the Southern Islands of Singapore and hop aboard Lion City Fishing Charters! Captain Max is the man behind the helm, and he prides himself on running nearshore and offshore trips from a sporty, spacious, and clean vessel. Why compromise when you can have both?
Speaking of the vessel, she's a 27' Sea Swirl Striper sport fisher, capable of travelling quickly and efficiently, so you can cast your line in a variety of hotspots! She can accommodate up to 5 guests, but how many people can come aboard depends on the trip you opt for.
On full-day adventures, you'll be able to embark on your trip with a group of 5 anglers, whereas shorter trips see this number limited to groups of 2 or 3 guests. This is all for your comfort and safety! As well as life jackets, navigational gear, and a live bait well, there's also a clean cabin toilet to ensure that your comfort is maximized.
Captain Max runs Lion City Fishing Charters with a 'hunters and seekers' mentality – basically, if there are no fish in one spot, you'll move around and 'hunt' for your prey! On longer trips, this means heading offshore to target pelagics and bottom feeders such as Giant Trevally, Barracuda, Snapper species, and Amberjack.
Want to spend less time on the water and still have a productive day? Capt. Max will stick to nearshore waters, where you'll be able to try out a whole host of techniques to target world-famous species such as Sweetlip Emperor, Snapper, Queenfish, and Mackerel.
You'll need to rent top-quality fishing gear from your captain, which is priced at SG $30 per person. This includes top-of-the-line rods and reels, a variety of tackle, lures, and dead bait in certain seasons. Then all you need to do is grab your favorite snacks and drinks and join Lion City Fishing Charters for an unforgettable adventure!

Amazing experience! Was able to click with the captain almost immediately upon meeting, and he was extremely patient in guiding me and my father on basic fishing techniques. He even shared some more advanced techniques with me on cleaning fish to keep them fresh and tasty for longer. Absolutely amazing time, and I highly recommend fishing trips with him. Whole Day Fishing Trip

We chose to do the whole day fishing trip, and we had a blast!
Trip was very well organized even before and during the trip. Details were double confirmed, and the response time was super fast as well. Our captain was a part timer for weekend, but he was still very friendly and had a very pleasant attitude.
We loved the fact that we were able to bring our own food and drinks (they have plenty of ice to keep our drinks cold). Ice cold beer on boat tasted better for sure!
The only thing we thought would have been better was the quality of the rods/lines. The line kept snapping, and the rod were so difficult to real... If you have your own, maybe it's better to bring that.
But again, we still had a blast, and will definitely go back again for another fishing adventure :)

I booked a dull day trip for fishing along the Singapore coast. The boat itself has seen better times, but is more than adequate for the intended purpose. We have fished a number of spots using bottom fishing with heavy weights 5 oz. due to the current. IMHO the rods were a bit too light (cw 6-12 grams) for this purpose, making hook setting difficult. Nevertheless, the bites were plentiful and strong. I had a great time and a good conversation with the captain on all things of life. Can recommend the trip!

The perfect afternoon sail

We are first time rookies. Booked the afternoon slot and hoped for the best and indeed it was! Daniel and Max were great company to have, and they guided us from the beginning on how we could get prepared for our trip. While we were interested to catch fishes, we weren’t too huge on only wanting to fish, we also wanted to have a good time, and with them we did! Dan and Max very kindly allowed us to bring up celebratory champagne on board and also light bites. It was a great way to spend sailing into the almost sunset hour, with a bit of swimming here and there. Not to mention coming back with a pretty decent sized barramundi that was kept alive until we got back to the pier! Can’t wait for our next lazy afternoon offshore!

This was my first time fishing in Singapore and although we didn’t catch anything, it was still a fun experience. My 7 year old and I did a night trip, and the cooler temperatures were a huge bonus for us not used to to heat and humidity of the region. The rental gear was in good shape and fit for purpose. We got a handful of nibbles throughout the trip, but never got anything to take the bait. The night aspect definitely added a layer of excitement, and wouldnt hesitate to do it again.
