Palmetto Guide Services LLC is a USCG licensed and insured guide service on Lake Murray. Nothing refreshes the body and mind like a few hours of freshwater fishing, so join Captain Josh. He welcomes you aboard, regardless of your angling skills. If you're a beginner, this is a perfect chance to take the rod and start using it like a pro.
The trip takes place on a 25' SeaPro boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. This center console was built in 2019 and has the latest navigational electronics and she's powered by a 200 HP Suzuki engine. You'll also find a cooler, a live bait tank, and a wireless trolling motor on the boat.
You'll go after Striped Bass using different approaches. For Stripe Bass, you'll use rods with live bait and pull planer boards. You get to keep the catch, so it's best to bring a cooler if you're planning to keep the fish for later.
Capt. Josh covers your fishing equipment and bottled water. Feel free to bring other drinks with you and prepare some food. You'll need to purchase your fishing license before the trip.

Good experience even on a slow day

Fish weren't biting as we'd hoped, but we still did far better than we could have on our own. The captain was pleasant and professional. The boat and tackle was all in great shape. It was a beautiful day on the lake and we would definitely use this guide service again.

Had a great time with Captain Josh. Not only does he put you on fish he shares his time with you like he has known you all your life. It was my honor to share this time with him.
The bite slowed and he explained why we should move in detail to give us the opportunity to catch more fish. Our whole group really enjoyed the trip and I am sure they will be talking about it until our next time.
