Barefoot Guide Service est synonyme d'une journée passionnante pour toute la famille. Passez du temps de qualité avec vos proches et partagez ensemble la beauté de la nature.

Propriété et exploité par le capitaine expérimenté Jake, Barefoot Guide Service est spécialisé dans la pêche au White Bass, au Hybrid Striped Bass et au Crappie. Les sorties sont disponibles le matin pendant le week-end et l'après-midi en semaine. Les appâts vivants sont la clé durant la majeure partie de l'année, mais tout dépend du comportement du poisson.

Le bateau depuis lequel vous pêcherez est un Bulls Bay de 24 pieds à console centrale, propulsé par un moteur Yamaha de 250 CV. Le bateau est équipé de toute l'électronique et de tout l'équipement de sécurité nécessaires pour une sortie sûre et productive sur le lac. Il y a suffisamment d'espace pour accueillir 6 pêcheurs à bord.

Les pêcheurs de tous niveaux sont invités à participer aux sorties, car elles offrent généralement beaucoup d'action et sont amusantes pour tous ceux qui y prennent part. Vous pratiquerez principalement la pêche au jig et à l'appât vivant autour du lac, en utilisant diverses techniques.

Une fois que vous aurez quitté le quai, tout ce que vous aurez à faire est de vous détendre et de pêcher. Tout ce que vous devez apporter, c'est de la nourriture, des boissons, un permis de pêche pour toute personne de l'équipage âgée de 17 ans et plus, et une glacière pour ramener vos filets à la maison. Tout le reste sera fourni. Votre poisson sera également nettoyé et emballé par le capitaine Jake.

Hard day still turned fun!

With winds blowing in the 20+mph range and 2-3ft rollers in the lake we set out to try and put sole fish in the boat. Jake’s 24ft Bulls Bay handled the weather amazingly. As hard as Jake tried he unfortunately couldn’t find the big schools of fish we were looking for. We tried quite a few spots so it wasn’t for a lack of effort. We did end up lading 3 fish in some pretty rough conditions and I’d happily go back with Jake on another trip in the same weather in a heartbeat.

First time chartering

First time chartering with my son, was really excited as was he being our first time we didn’t have an expectation. We caught 5 fish (2 white bass 3 channel catfish) but about 3.5 hours into trip another boat was broken down and instead of finishing the trip started towing the other boat in. We were handed off to another boat to be taken back to boat ramp. Which upon getting aboard this boat and see the haul they got we definitely didn’t do well. Captain was great but wish it didn’t end that way and wish he would have said something after departure. Trip was 6am-11am ( was driving out of parking lot at 10am). The other guy that took us in filleted our fish for us. But for 400 bucks probably wouldn’t do it again. Shore fishing better alternative.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I truly appreciate you choosing Barefoot Guide Service for your first charter trip with your son.

I’m sorry the experience didn’t fully meet your expectations, especially with how the trip ended. While I always do my best to maximize time on the water, in rare cases like this, I made the decision to assist a disabled boater something I’d hope another captain would do for me or one of my clients in need.

I completely understand how that may have made the trip feel cut short. I arranged for another boat to bring you in to avoid having you sit in the heat during a long tow,  safety and comfort are always some of my top priorities.

Fishing during late July into August in Texas can be challenging, especially on weekends when we leave the dock early to beat both the heat and the ramp traffic. It’s a tough window, but I always aim to make the most of every trip.

If you ever decide to give it another shot, I’d truly appreciate the opportunity to get you and your son back out.

Dreary day turned fun!

What started out as a possible rain situation ended up with us catching seven hybrids and one white bass. Even tho the fish were being finicky, Capt Jake did everything he could think of to make sure we were trying to catch fish. Even gave us some amazing evening / sunset photo opportunities!
