River Knight Outfitters propose des sorties de pêche encadrées par des guides expérimentés sur la Missouri River dans la région de Craig, Montana. Beaucoup considèrent la Missouri comme la meilleure rivière au monde pour la pêche à la mouche en sèche, avec des bancs de poissons en surface se nourrissant de la multitude d'insectes que la rivière offre.

Si vous êtes intéressé par la pêche à la nymphe ou au streamer, chaque journée offre généralement l'opportunité d'essayer l'une ou l'autre de ces méthodes. Rejoignez-nous même si vous êtes nouveau dans le sport de la pêche à la mouche. Votre guide Rick adore pêcher avec les couples, les jeunes, les débutants et les experts. Il est impatient de partager ses connaissances de la rivière et de s'assurer que vous vivez une expérience extraordinaire lors de votre voyage au Montana.

Il y a suffisamment de place pour accueillir 2 invités. Vous utiliserez un tout nouveau drift boat Ro de 15 pieds. Vos cibles principales de la journée sont la truite commune européenne et la truite arc-en-ciel. Toutes les prises doivent être relâchées, donc la seule façon de garder votre trophée est de prendre des photos avant de remettre le poisson à l'eau.

La technique principale que vous utiliserez est la pêche à la mouche, mais vous pouvez également la combiner avec la pêche à la dérive. Attraper un poisson à la mouche nécessite précision et patience, alors assurez-vous de vous entraîner autant que possible pendant votre sortie.

Tout l'équipement de pêche est fourni par le guide. Assurez-vous d'acheter votre permis de pêche et d'emporter des collations et des boissons. Il est recommandé d'apporter des chapeaux et des lunettes de soleil.

Half Day with Rick Knight

Half Day Trip le June 30, 2021

Started at Wolf Creek Bridge in MT.  Started catching nice rainbows in minutes.  My brother and I caught about 20 trout including a 21" brown weighing an estimated 5 or 6 pounds.  I cannot submit a photos right now because my phone is on the blink.  Can't even send the photo's to myself.  Rick was efficient at putting us on fish and giving us all the instructions as to the best way to catch them.  His manner was perfect for us as he gave instructions plainly but without making us feel stupid.  I said he should have been a teacher.  He provided all the rods and flies and did everything to make our trip to Craig perfect for us.  Definitely recommend Rick and plan to go back next year and make it my 90th birthday present to myself.

Day on the Missouri R with River Knight Outfitters

Full Day Trip - Early Season le June 13, 2021

I had the wonderful opportunity to experience professional advice with gentle corrections in my form to allow me to successfully land one trout after another. I’ve been fly fishing for nearly 50 yrs, that’s right 50 years, and felt I wasn’t too bad at it until I encountered the “Professors of the Deep”! Trout who apparently knew every make and model of dry and wet fly thrown at them. With Rick Knight’s gentle correction in my technique, we landed nearly 10X what other Outfitters were bringing in for their clients. Rick knows the water, knows the fish and is Excellent at putting it all together to create a fabulous fun adventure. He’s a 6 star rating because they don’t come any better then this fella!

An exhilarating, yet relaxful day!

Full Day Trip le May 29, 2021

I have known Rick Knight for about 11 years now. 9 years ago he took me on my first fly fishing trip; teaching me how to cast and in what kind of waters to expect fish to be in. I caught over 30 fish that day and, needless to say, I was hooked!
On Saturday May 29th I got to go out with Rick again. I didn’t quite catch 30 fish, but I got at least 12 in the boat that were over 18”. And I caught my dream fish that was over 24”. Unfortunately, it didn’t make it to the boat. Apparently, I was holding too much tension when the fish came out of the water. (I’m still learning.)
A few years ago I was able to take a trip with his son Stephen. He has the same passion and love for fishing that his father does. These guys are some of the best in the industry! Whether you are a beginner and need a lot of guidance, or a lifelong fly fisherman who just needs someone to put you in the right spot on the river, you can’t go wrong with River Knight Outfitters.

Full Day Trip - Early Season le May 31, 2021

It was a beautiful sunny morning and my guide Rick Knight had me on the fish, strong, acrobatic, bright and beautiful Rainbows, 18 to 24".  What a privilege, and challenge to land these fish.  I have been fly fishing for many years, this was one of the best days on the water I've had.  This trip had it all including, a great lunch, great conversation, wrapped in beautiful scenery!  These guys are the best!

the fishing was tough but excellent. both Rick and Steve were knew the river like the back of their hand. They also had full knowledge of the insect life. Both were helpful and enthusiastic I could not recommend them more
