Get ready for an unforgettable adventure with Janine B Sportfishing! Specializing in nearshore and offshore fishing, Captain Wayne and his crew know how to make every trip count. Your guide is a lifelong fisherman, who knows everything there is about these waters. Whether you're looking for a new Striper record or you're just learning how to reel one in, Capt. Wayne's got you covered.
The adventure starts on a 30 ft Downeast boat that accommodates up to 6. This sportfishing boat easily reaches high speeds, as she's powered by a 440 HP Yanmar diesel engine. And to make sure you're at the right spot, the boat is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, VHF radio, and radar. To make the whole experience more comfortable, the boat is also wheelchair accessible and features a private toilet.
Choose between a half day and a full day trip. All of them are available from mid-May till mid-October. While shorter trips give you a chance to go after Haddock, Bluefish, and Striped Bass, a full day trip also adds Bluefin Tuna to the mix.
Families are regular guests on this charter, so don't hesitate to bring your kids along. The captain covers your fishing equipment and licenses, so you only need to pack some snacks and drinks for the day.

Great day on the water with the Janine B & Crew!

We had a fantastic day on the Janine B this weekend - friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable captain (Kevin, subbing in for Wayne) and mate (Aiden, who was great!). Caught our limit and much more - 3 of us caught ~ 15 stripers - about half were in the keeper range, 1 short, and the rest to big, including 40" & 38" beauties.
It was a great day all around and we'll be back!
Highly recommend the Janine B II 👍

Wonderful fishing trip!

Captain Wayne and First Mate Logan were fantastic. It was myself, my father, and my son. Three generations keeping the tradition alive! My son who is 9 had never been on a “smaller” fishing boat and they were great with him. They were full of enthusiasm and energy, and helped with everyone’s jigging techniques. We caught 1 keeper stripper and one throwback (just 1” short). Would have loved to catch more but seemed like every boat was struggling that day. But all in all it was great and will definitely go out them again.

Great day on the bay

Captain Wayne and his crew were great. We went out on the only bad weather day of our vacation. Every boat in the bay was struggling but we had a great day on the boat. Captain Wayne was kind enough to extend our charter another hour and we started getting bites. My daughter caught our only keeper of the day and we had a few fish pull the hook close to the boat. Great day even though the weather wasn't the best.

Caught our limit early!
4 Hour Trip - 12:00 PM le August 4, 2025 • 3 adultes
Capt. Wayne was an excellent guide and took us directly to where the stripers were biting. Caught our limit within the first hour of fishing by jigging off the bottom. Then switched to fishing for bonitos. Caught several. Landed one. And landed several more stripers. First mate Logan did a great job keeping three or four lines it all times.

Wayne was very nice and provided good communication before the trip. The weather was beautiful and we spent the trip fishing for stripers and blues. The fishing was slow but based on the communication from other boats, it was just that kind of day, can't blame the captain for that. In the end, we caught one legal sized striper but I would definitely go out with Wayne again a little earlier in the season.
