LH Guide Service invites you for a lovely day of fishing in Alabama. Come to Scottsboro, a town lying by beautiful Lake Guntersville and the Tennessee River, and enjoy your stay on the water as Captain Laker Howell takes you to the fish and helps you reel in a fine catch. Just pick your day and join him aboard for a memorable fishing experience in Scottsboro.
The boat you'll use is a restored 21' Triton bass boat. It can accommodate up to 3 anglers, runs on a 250 HP Mercury engine, is wheelchair accessible, and uses GPS and fishfinder electronics for safe and efficient movement on the water. The boat's also got a wireless trolling motor so you can make a better approach to the fish, a livewell to supply you with live bait, and an ice-box so you can store your fish and drinks.
On your trip, you and the captain will target Largemouth, Smallmouth, Spotted, and Striped Bass, as well as Catfish. All the fishing will be done using light tackle and you get to keep all the fish you reel in.
Captain Laker covers you for everything you'll need for your trip. This includes all the rods, reels, tackle, lures, as well as snacks and drinks. The only things you should bring are your fishing licenses.

my son's birthday fishing trip

wow! what an experience! my son turned 9 on the 28th of march & he wanted to go bass fishing on lake guntersville for his bday. we picked the weekend to go BUT my son picked our guide & neither of us were disappointed. our first time ever at lake guntersville & we caught our first bass literally within 15 mins of our first cast! 100% will come bk & fish again with captain Laker Howell!!!!!

It’s difficult to put our trip into words. We had so much fun with Capt. Laker. He is super easy going, got us on top of fish pretty much all day and was super patient with my son, my friend and I. If you are wondering if you should book a day with him, I say do it, you won’t regret it. Hopefully we can get out with him again next year!
